Susan Roces will come back to ABS-CBN after her stint in TV5 and GMA7 and rumor has it that she will be a part of the TV remake of Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit. The original cast of the movie, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta was also rumored to star in the series with Coco Martin, Julia Montes, Paulo Avelino and Helen Gamboa. Another powerhouse cast indeed.

Kris Aquino Shares Secret on Being One of the Country’s Top Celebrity Endorsers

For anybody who has ever tuned in to television, watched a movie, or driven down major thoroughfares, it’s hard not to notice the numerous advertisements that Kris Aquino has. From food products to houseware, the host of the top-rated daily lifestyle show Kris TV is definitely on top of the list when it comes to being a trusted endorser.

When asked how she has managed to build up that kind of image, the 40-year-old mother of two admitted she just likes to keep things real. “Because I’m not a liar. Yun lang yun. What you hear and what you see is what you get. Totoo talaga ako,” she said during the K Everyday collection launch of her newest home and kitchen products at SM Megamall last October 2.

Despite her hectic schedule, Kris admitted she always makes it a point to prioritize events that allow her to connect to her fans on a more personal level, which is why she is also open to mall shows for her K Everyday product line. “Alam niyo kasi it’s a way to connect. Kasi ‘di ba ang laki ng pasasalamat ko na araw-araw nanunuod sila ng programa, na dahil sa pagtangkilik nila nadagdagan ng time yung show because full load tayo and in an economic climate like this, ang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa tiwala ng advertisers. It’s my way din of saying thank you,” she said.

The successful host-actress also shared the advice given to her by doctor Vicki Belo. “Sinabi ni Doktora Vicki ito, ang endorser na gusto mo, may hawak na mikropono araw-araw. Yun ang sinabi niya na may daily visibility at yung naririnig ang boses araw-araw,” she shared.

Even though she still had to sign a contract stipulating conditions she had to follow as an endorser for a particular product, Kris said that it was not hard to follow due to the fact that she has always maintained a clean and healthy lifestyle. “Nung dumating lahat ng commercials, maraming pinirmahan kami ni Boy (Abunda, her manager) na good conduct clause. It’s no longer called a morality clause. So you also know how to behave. But I think malaking factor yun na hindi ako laman ng bars, hindi ko trip yun eh. Sinabi ni Boy sa akin na malaking bagay na I’m so transparent and so public. So alam mong walang tinatago talaga. So hindi ako pakalat-kalat. Alam nila workaholic ako. alam nilang maka-pamilya ako and alam nila yung dalawang anak ko priority ko talaga so I think yung parang values na ine-espouse ko ngayon, yun yung hinahanap nila,” she explained.

Now that her younger son Bimby has also become more visible in commercials, Kris is proud that her son has adjusted well to the limelight. “I guess I also have to give credit to the fact na naka-produce ako ng anak like Bimby na kasing daldal at may personalidad of his own. Kasi importante yun talaga na yung commercial believable. ‘Pag meron siyang sinasabi, parang in fairness to him talaga, natural,” she said.

The proud mom says she wants to raise her son to be down-to-earth despite his popularity. “I always try na paalahanan siya na nakaapak sa lupa talaga. Pati yung mga sisters ko, hindi puwedeng masyadong ma-spoil,” she admitted. Kris has reportedly already bought Bimby his own condominium unit with his own earnings, but the talk show host said that she now chooses to keep details of her family’s property acquisitions private.

Matteo Guidicelli Wants to Talk to Coco Martin

After the incident that had them in a reported fistfight at the Manila Peninsula hotel on the night of the Star Magic Ball last month, Matteo Guidicelli admits he let his feelings of jealousy overrule him when he approached Coco Martin that night. “Yung ginawa ko, for me, normal talaga sa isang boyfriend ‘di ba? I care a lot for Maja and I’m always there to support her. And in that one instance, nagseselos talaga ako, like any other boyfriend. If you saw what I saw, I’m sure they’d be jealous also. But now I know na kailangan talaga i-control ko yung emotions natin. Kasi trabaho sa showbiz mahirap, medyo kailangan talaga i-control yung emotions natin. So control guys (laughs),” he shares good-naturedly during the 2011 Star Magic Catalogue autograph-signing held last October 9 at Bonifacio High Street.

The 22-year-old actor-host also admitted he would like to formally settle things with Coco but it has yet to happen since they both have busy schedules. “Baka umalis pa siya to the States so wala pa siyang time. So when he gets back, we’ll see. Basta me I’m always open,” he says. Matteo also adds that after the incident, he wants to make amends with Coco and just move on and try to become a better person. “I want to talk to him pero I don’t know if he wants to talk to me. But I’m okay, I’m cool, I’m going to church, I’ve been asking for forgiveness and everything and a lot of spiritual help, from my friends and my family. So para sa akin, I’m just forgetting about it. It’s something that happened in the past that I’m going to learn from so it’s just made me a better and a stronger person,” he adds.

With all his soul-searching, Matteo says he gained new perspective and maturity from everything that transpired. “Ang daming lessons. Ang dami talaga. At the end of the day, it’s made me a better person. It made me a stronger person. It made me realize also not to take everything by emotion. I should use my head more. Not all emotions. I got to think before I do stuff. What I did before, I just followed my heart. That made the trouble so now I have to use my brain more you know, dahan-dahan. Take things slowly,” he says.

Maja and Coco are together abroad doing a series of shows right now but Matteo says this fact does not bother him one bit anymore. “One thing is I trust Maja. I really trust her and I think she really knows what to do. Whatever she does, she’s doing it for work and she knows until where to go, she’s very smart. Whatever happens, she can control and she’s smart. She knows what to do,” he stresses. Matteo also shares that his relationship with Maja is okay and he hopes his girlfriend and Coco can also clarify things while they’re abroad. “Kami, I and Maja, everything is okay. Magkasama sila ni Coco doon ngayon. I’m sure they’re talking about everything na, but I don’t know, Maja didn’t tell me anything yet. Everything is okay and now I’m just trying to forget about everything. I already said my part on The Buzz and kalimutan na natin ‘di ba?” he comments.

Vice Ganda Does Not Give Kris Aquino Special Treatment

Pagbabahagi ni Vice, “Si Kris kasi kaming dalawa ‘yung nabuo naming friendship ibang klase rin. Makulit kasi ‘yan nung nagi-guest guest ako sa programa niya sa programa (nila) ni Tito Boy (Boy and Kris) lagi kaming nag-uusap, naaaliw siya halos gawin niya akong regular sa programa niya.”

Sabi pa ng komedyante, hindi niya itinuturing na iba si Kris sa iba pa niyang close friends. “Si Kris kasi hindi ko itinuturing na kakaiba. Hindi ko itinuturing na iba kasi Kris Aquino ka, iba kay Toni Gonzaga, iba ka kay Anne Curtis, iba ka sa mga kaibigan kong nagtatrabaho sa parlor. Depensa pa ni Vice, hindi kailangan ng maraming kaibigan kung hindi naman totoo sa iyo ang mga ito. “Marami ka ngang kaibigan na kasama echusan lang akyo ng echusan. Apat, lima pero totoo. ‘Yung humagulgol ka may sasapo ng sipon mo ‘yung ganon.”

Samantala, naging emosyunal noong Sabado si Vice Ganda nang ma-evict na finally si Ryan Bang bilang hurado ng Showtime. Naging very close kasi ang dalawa at naging nanay-nanayan pa ang komedyante sa Korean national na naging produkto ng Pinoy Big Brother. Wala raw kasing pamilya dito si Ryan at dikit nang dikit kay Vice Ganda. Umabot na nga raw sa puntong natutulog na si Ryan sa kanyang kuwarto at iba raw talaga ang attachment nila.

PNP Open to Having 'Biggest Loser' Larry Back

The Philippine National Police (PNP) leadership on Monday said they are open to having Larry Martin, the very first Pinoy Biggest Loser, back in the service.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome said they will take a closer look at PO1 Martin’s record since he may just have the right job for him.

If he is accepted back, Bartolome said he might be assigned in the physical fitness unit as he would be a good role model to his fellow policemen.

Martin left the PNP in March 2002 because he knew could not pass the “34" waistline policy” of former PNP chief and now Senator Panfilo Lacson.

Martin decided to join ABS-CBN’s “Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition” this year.

He entered the Biggest Loser camp weighing 255 pounds.

After 125 days inside the camp, Martin lost 101 pounds and now weighs 154 pounds.

In a separate interview, Martin already expressed his desire to go back to service.

Gerald Anderson Finds His Dream Role in Budoy

Actor Gerald Anderson said his life as an actor feels complete after he was chosen as the lead star of ABS-CBN's newest primetime series, "Budoy."

In an interview with "The Buzz" on Sunday, Anderson said Budoy, his character, is a "dream role" and "a role of a lifetime."

The premiere episode of "Budoy" will air on ABS-CBN on Monday night.

"Sobra akong blessed, sobra akong thankful," he said.

"Sobra kaming proud kasi ibinuhos namin lahat dun and we did everything para gumanda ang show," he added.

Love life

Meanwhile, Anderson admitted that he misses having a special someone in his life.

"Siyempre may kulang pa rin. Kung walang love life, may kulang pa rin... Minsan nakaka-miss din 'yung may gumu-goodnight sa'yo, may naga-I miss you sa'yo, kumain ka na ba?" he said.

"Medyo mahirap din po 'yan (having a love life and a successful career at the same time). You have to focus on one thing lalo na po sa isang role na kagaya ng Budoy."

Aside from taping for his newest TV series, Anderson is also shooting his second movie with Sarah Geronimo under Star Cinema.

'Junior MasterChef' Down to 18 Finalists

Two contestants bade goodbye to "Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition" (JMC) after the show held its first elimination on Sunday night.

Eleven-year-old kiddie cooks Athena Garcia and Bea Atienza ended their journey in the JMC kitchen after they failed to impress the show's hosts/judges -- Ferns Aracama, Jayps Anglo, Lau Laudico and Judy Ann Santos -- with their signature adobo dish.

"Bea, Athena, hindi ibig sabihin na dito natatapos ang journey niyo bilang mahuhusay na chef. Nag-uumpisa pa lang kayo at gamitin niyo ang experience na ito para maging mahusay kayong chef," Santos said.

Garcia and Atienza then shared what they learned from the JMC experience.

"Ako ang natutunan ko dito sa JMC kitchen ay really focus on what you are doing," Atienza said.

"Kahit eliminated ako, ang JMC family is always with me. Irreplaceable po 'yon," Garcia said.

Garcia and Atienza were each awarded a JMC trophy as proof that they made it to the show's Top 20. They also received a set of kitchen tools.

Sharon Cuneta and Derek Ramsay Proud of Philippines First 'Biggest Loser'

Hosts Sharon Cuneta and Derek Ramsay congratulated the first winner of "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition," Larry Martin, saying that they are proud of his achievement.

In an interview after the show's grand finale on Saturday, Ramsay said he is happy that Martin will get to spend more time with his loved ones.

"Larry, you are P1 million richer, but that's not the important thing and you know that. Hindi natin ginawa ito para sa pera. Ginawa natin ito para gumanda ang iyong kalagayan, para gumanda ang iyong health, and for you to be around, to spend time with your loved ones. So Kuya Larry, I'm very, very proud of you," he said.

For her part, Cuneta said she is not only proud of Martin but also of the reality show.

"Ako, I'm very proud of the show kasi hindi lang siya contest kung hindi naging source siya ng knowledge about the danger of obesity," she said.

Martin, a former policeman, joined "The Biggest Loser" to fulfill his dream of going back to police service.

He won the country's first "Biggest Loser" title after weighing 154 pounds, 101 pounds lighter than when he entered the camp five months ago at 255 pounds

Anne Curtis Proves She's More Than Just a Pretty Face

After her successful 14 years in the entertainment industry, Anne Curtis has proven that she is more than just a pretty face.

She admitted, though, that it was not always an easy ride.

"It wasn't easy pero masaya. Ang dami kong natutunan. This whole industry, this whole journey, isa siyang education on its own," she said in an interview on "The Buzz" on Sunday.

According to Curtis, the negative comments she received motivated her to work harder and be a better actress.

"It challenged me na i-prove na hindi lang ako pretty face. Hindi lang ako 'yung balikbayan lang na aktres. Ipro-prove ko talaga na kaya kong mag-Tagalog nang diretso. It made me strive to prove to them na I will succeed in life and in the art that I chose which is singing and acting," the Filipino-Australian actress said.

Curtis' latest movie project, "No Other Woman," earned almost P200 million in less than two weeks, according to "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda.

The Filipino-Australian actress thanked all of those who watched her film with Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes.

"Nakakatuwa kasi when you think about the movie, it's not something special na nag-abroad kami or anything. It's just about life at nangyayari talaga. I think that's why naka-relate ang mga tao, mapa-Cristine man o mapa-Anne or mapa-Derek," she said.

Curtis is also grateful for those who bought her first album titled "Anne-bisyosa." She said she could not believe that she sold 345 copies in just two hours during her recent album tour.

"Na-shock ako Tito Boy! Hindi siya nag-sink in sa akin. Talagang maraming salamat sa lahat ng pumunta yesterday at pumila kayo," she told Abunda.

KC Concepcion Leaves for Europe

Television host KC Concepcion recently left for Europe amid reports that she has broken up with her boyfriend, actor Piolo Pascual.

In an interview with "The Buzz" at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport moments before her flight, Concepcion said she wants to find some time for herself.

Concepcion is one of the hosts of "The Buzz."

"Kailangan ko lang ng oras para sa sarili ko...kailangan ko lang ng ilang araw para huminga nang konti, kailangan ko lang itong time na ito para makapag-isip ako, para lang makalaro ang utak ko at para bumalik ako na buo pa rin ako," she said.

"Sa dinami-dami ng nangyayari o nangyari, siguro kailangan ko lang mag-isip talaga. Kailangan ko lang ng konting time para mapag-isipan 'yung mga nangyayari at para mahanap ko ulit ang sarili ko."

Concepcion added that she will also be meeting her childhood friends in Europe.

"Siyempre, comfort zone ko ang Europe. Tamang tama na nandoon din 'yung mga childhood friends ko. Maganda din na makasama ko ang mga matagal ko nang kaibigan at makapunta sa lugar na makakapagpasaya sa akin," she explained.

Asked if Pascual knows about her trip, Concepcion replied, "Hindi ko alam."

The actress and television host then refused to answer if Pascual is the reason why she is going to Europe.

"Hindi ko alam," she repeated, when asked if she and Pascual have parted ways.

Last month, reports surfaced that Pascual and Concepcion have called it quits.

To prove that their relationship is going strong, they arrived together to attend the Star Magic Ball.

Another 'Gandang Gabi Vice' Guest Becomes Twitter Trending Topic

After singing Aeta boy Arjohn Gilbert and Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero, another celebrity landed on the top trending topics of microblogging site Twitter after guesting on ABS-CBN's hit show "Gandang Gabi Vice."

In the episode, which was aired on Sunday night, comedian Jimmy Santos gamely performed a skit with host Vice Ganda.

Santos plays the role of Vice Ganda's father in the movie "Praybeyt Benjamin," which will hit theaters on October 26.

"Tutal nandito na kami, sasamantalahin ko na ang pag-imbita sa inyong lahat. 'Praybeyt Benjamin,' a movie you can watch with Vice Ganda," said Santos who recently celebrated his 61st birthday.

Aside from a skit, Santos also performed a song and dance number with Vice Ganda.

The hashtag #Jimmy Santos made it to the fifth spot on Twitter's list of top trending topics for the Philippines on Monday morning.

Filipino netizens heaped praise on Santos on the microblogging site.

"Jimmy santos alphabet superfunny (sic)... Hope makabalik n tlga sya s paggwa (sic) ng movies ... Wala n kc (sic) 'yung comedy movies like before," said user criskty14.

"Jimmy Santos! I'm a fan," user cookiecarpio said.

"I was amused when I saw Jimmy Santos trending," Sibilya Boris tweeted.

Gilbert, dubbed as the Justin Bieber of the Philippines, made it to the sixth spot on Twitter's top trending topics in the Philippines last August 15.

Escudero, meanwhile, placed eighth on the list last October 3.

Ryan Bang Officially Out of Showtime

Ryan Bang is officially eliminated as one of the judges in ABS-CBN's "Showtime," the show's director announced on Monday.

In a statement, "Showtime" director Bobet Vidanes said they must respect the show's viewers, more popularly known as "madlang pipol," who eliminated Bang via text votes.

Bang was a "Showtime" judge for 48 weeks.

"Bilang pagkilala sa resulta ng botohan, si Ryan Bang ay mananatiling burado bilang isang hurado. I hope everything is clear. Wala po kaming hinangad dito kung hindi magpasaya ng tao. I hope doon sa mga taong nagtatanong, I hope na klaro na po sa inyo," he said.

Vidanes made the announcement after actress Dimples Romana, one of the show's judges, offered her seat to Bang.

She voluntarily gave up her seat, saying that she will start taping for ABS-CBN's upcoming Christmas series, "Diyos ay Pag-Ibig."

"Matapos maganap ang eviction noong Sabado, humingi po ng pagkakataon si Dimples Romana sa programa na mailabas ang kanyang saloobin. Napakinggan niyo po ang kanyang mensahe. Kung sa palagay niyo ay nagkaroon ako ng lapse in judgment, nagkaroon nang dahil sa kakulangan ng oras at sa panahon at nadala ako sa bugso ng damdamin, ipagpaumanhin niyo po.
