Who Will Be The First Junior Master Chef?

Dapat may panalo kang words of encouragement,” kuwento niya.

John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin Reunite in Star Cinema's I Honestly Love You

John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin are back together again for a new movie project under ABS-CBN's Star Cinema.

The new movie with working title "I Honestly Love You" will be the twosome's first project after their hit TV series "Imortal."

"Sigurado na po, totoo na po ito. This calls for a celebration," Cruz said.

Cruz said that in the movie, they will try their best to give the moviegoers a fresh story and unique performance.

"Kahit na lagi naming sinasabi kaming mga artista, kaming gumagawa ng pelikula, lagi we wanna offer something different, something new, well talaga naman that's always the intention," Cruz said.

Julia Montes Admits Getting Backlash for Playing Kontrabida

After portraying the role of the scheming Clara in the popular remake of the afternoon series Mara Clara, Julia Montes takes on another meaty role as Jessica Santiago, one of the lead characters in the upcoming drama flick Way Back Home. “Excited ako sa movie namin with Star Cinema and yung teen show namin na Growing Up,” she shared.

After the success of Mara Clara, Julia said she has adopted a more enthusiastic attitude towards working in the limelight. “Siguro naging mas excited na ako magtrabaho sa mga next projects ko kasi na-e-excite ako na pagkatapos ng Mara Clara, ano kaya susunod na ibibigay sa akin or anong challenge naman ipapagawa sa akin, more on sa ganun ang naiisip ko,” she admitted.

The 16-year-old actress also admitted she will never let the instant fame get to her. Parang siyempre iisipin mo kung ikaw yung nandun dati, ayaw mo ring ganunin ka so huwag kang manggaganun,” she explained to Push.com.ph

Because of her anti-hero role in Mara Clara, Julia revealed that some people mistook her onscreen persona for her character in real life.

The Fil-German beauty also said that people close to her would never assume she is like Clara in real life.

Despite the backlash, Julia said it will not deter her from accepting more kontrabida roles in the future.

Julia admitted that it’s actually a challenge for her to play a villainous role. “Para sa akin mahirap in a way maging kontrabida kasi mahirap mang-away kasi kahit alam mong role lang siya, mahirap pa rin mang-away. Pero as long as wala naman masyadong rason para mag-away, hindi naman ako nang-aaway ng basta-basta,” she added.

The young actress admitted she also wants to get the chance to play a heroine role in the future. Yung ako naman yung kino-kontrabidahan,” she said.

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, Like Sisters in Real Life

Currently busy promoting her latest project, the Star Cinema drama Way Back Home, Kathryn Bernado admitted that she is excited to be back in the limelight along with former Mara Clara co-star Julia Montes. “I’m busy talaga dun sa movie and sa Growing Up. Talagang pinaghirapan namin ito ng sobra kaya sana maagustohan nila,” she said.

The 15-year-old actress admitted that she and Julia have gotten even closer than before, even off-cam.

Kathryn revealed that one of their favorite bonding activities is going to the mall during days when they don’t have work. It also doesn’t hurt that they both share a passion for shopping and have even gotten matching outfits together. Tapos nagpapa-foot spa kami, ganyan. Tapos tambay lang sa bahay,” she said.

Kathryn shared that although she enjoys hanging out with friends at home, she really enjoys being out and about. “I really like malling and shopping.

After the almost overnight popularity she got with the success of Mara Clara, Kathryn said she has not allowed fame to get to her. “I try to stay the same. Ayoko talaga magbago. Bawal maging ganun,” she stressed.

The Way Back Home actress said that the only difference now is that she is more ready to face the crowd after becoming more recognizable in public. But other than that, she is still the same down-to-earth person that she has always been.

The Star Magic talent also admitted that she would rather focus on her career than boys at this moment. “Hanggang admirers lang sila. Wala muna ngayon. Wala munang commitment,” she shared.

Kathryn said she hopes to be able to do a different kind of project someday where she can play a lighter kind of character. Or like yung Thai movie na Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Mga pa-tweetums na makaka-relate yung mga teenagers,” she said.

JM de Guzman Willing to Go Daring for the Right Project

“At the same time nagagawa ko ‘yung dalawang bagay na gusto ko (acting at singing).”

Albie Casino Misses Mara Clara Co-Stars

Young actor Albie Casino was supposedly one of the lead stars of the upcoming teen show Growing Up and Star Cinema movie Way Back Home but he was suddenly replaced by Daniel Padilla and Enrique Gil in the two projects respectively. Albie admits that he felt unhappy because of the changes in his career but more than losing the projects, he misses being with his friends. "Hindi ko alam paano ko mae-explain. Of course, I felt sad kasi ang tagal ng Mara Clara. I bonded na with Kathryn (Bernardo), Julia (Montes) and Diego Loyzaga. Kahit may ibang show na sila and ako rin, I'm still sad kasi yung bond na na-develop ko with them, wala ngayon. I miss them."

However Albie states he has no hard feelings for the two actors especially toward Daniel. "Si Daniel, he’s a good friend of mine. Pero wala what can you do 'di ba?" Albie shared.

Albie said that he will definitely watch and support Way Back Home and Growing Up.

Meanwhile, Albie is enjoying the free time, something he rarely had when he was busy taping Mara Clara. "I'm doing good. Masarap din ang break, honestly. I get to see my friends and family. I am having a good time. The little time left when I was working hinahati-hati ko yan sa kanila. Now, I see them everyday."

Kim Chiu Made Sacrifices for New Teleserye

Actress Kim Chiu is sacrificing a lot for her new series "My Binondo Girl."

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Chiu said that it was not easy to play the role of Jade, a young lady who will pretend to be a young man to feel the love of her Chinese father.

Actress Kim Chiu binds breasts for "My Binondo Girl"

Chiu said that aside from lowering the tone of her voice, she also needs to endure the pain of binding her breasts.

Despite the hardship, Chiu said there's no reason to worry because the show's production was there to help.

Chiu also shared said that for the series, she had to watch shows where girls pretended to be boys like "Hana Kimi" and "Boys Don't Cry."

"Ang dami kong pinanood na ganoong movie yung babae na nagpanggap na lalaki, ang dami kong napanood at doon madami akong natutunan at nakuhang tip para gampanan yung role," she said.

In the end, Chiu hopes that viewers would see her effort for the show and would watch it from beginning till end.

"Well sana, tina-try ko naman ang full effort ko para mapaganda ang show na ito. Hanggang kaya ko gagawin ko," she said.

Meamwhile, Chiu was also game in addressing question if she would be willing to do a kissing scene with a girl.

Asked which girl she prefers to kiss, she said: "Ayaw ko ng maging choosy. Kahit sino na lang."

Hazel Chua Eliminated from the Biggest Loser

For almost three months, the Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition contestants Raffy Tan and Hazel Chua had consoled and encouraged each other as they faced the physical and emotional challenges inside the Biggest Loser camp.

But after Hazel was eliminated from the competition last Tuesday (August 9), they have to continue transforming their lives, separately and by themselves.

The 22 year-old was voted out by majority of the remaining Bigating Pinoy including Angela, Art, Ryan, and Larry. They said Hazel is more ready to go out of the camp than Winwin, who joined her in the elimination ceremony.

As Angela put it, Hazel is already a butterfly while the 18 year-old Winwin is still sleeping in her cocoon. The two fell below the yellow line during the weigh-in after gaining a pound each despite their strenuous marine camp training.

Larry, whose “six-pack” is starting to show, was declared the Biggest Loser of the week for shedding three lbs. or 1.59% of his previous weight.

Before the tearful elimination ceremony, Raffy kissed Hazel, who served as his inspiration inside the camp. Their parting was painful but it did solidify the trust they have for each other.

Hazel even said she is confident that Raffy will prevail as the program’s first Biggest Loser. “I believe so much in Raffy and I know he’ll do everything to be the first winner of the Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition,” she said.

She also vowed to go through an extreme transformation to wow the campers and the program’s loyal followers in the grand finale. However, Hazel said that as early as now she can say she’s already a changed person.

“The BL camp really changed how I view life. I can now walk with my head up and not try to hide my face in shame. I’m a more disciplined and a much happier person now because I feel good inside and out,” she revealed.

While life goes on for Hazel, same goes for Raffy and the remaining Bigating Pinoys Andy, Art, Angela, Larry, Leigh, Ryan, and Winwin. On this round, they are faced with a tough challenge from game master Derek Ramsay that tests not just their discipline in training and eating, but also in strategizing.

For this week’s immunity, the contenders will race each other in dropping 2% of their current weight. They will be given a one-time-only weigh-in access card, so they will have to gauge themselves to be sure they’ve already lost enough weight before they stand on the weighing scale.

Making this week even tougher for them is a new rule during the weigh-in. Instead of two, four Bigating Pinoys will fall under the yellow line and undergo the elimination ceremony.

Find out the different tactics the Bigating Pinoys will employ to acquire immunity and avoid being booted from the camp. Watch how they will handle another unanticipated twist that will intensify the competition even more.
