Yeng Constantino Rocks Aliw Theater

Pop rock princess Yeng Constantino’s “Rakenrol Jamming” concert on Friday was a major success.

Constantino rocked Aliw Theater together with special guests Gary Valenciano, Sam Milby and Ivan Dorscher.

YouTube singing sensation Maria Aragon also took part in the event.

Aragon took the stage with her claim to fame rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Born this Way.”

Constantino also jammed with Aragon over Jessie J’s “Price Tag.”

It has been reported that Constantino recently suffered depression.

Based on this concert’s outcome, it seems that Constantino is back on track.

Comguild Awards Recognize ABS-CBN Journalists

ABS-CBN news correspondents bagged 3 out of 6 awards of the 2011 Comguild Awards at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo on Sunday.

Bandila news anchor Karen Davila was named the best female news presenter while TV Patrol news anchor Ted Failon was hailed as the best male news presenter.

Davila and Failon were also the recipients of the same awards last year.

Meanwhile, the Comguild Awards recognized Sol Aragones as the best field reporter.

More than 2,000 journalism and mass communication students from various colleges and universities nationwide watched the event.

The Comguild Awards is held every year to recognize the exemplary work of journalists in the country.

Its awards committee is composed of highly regarded deans and schools heads of several colleges and universities in the Philippines.

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes Named as the Next Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Barretto

During the presscon for the upcoming Star Cinema movie “Way Back Home,” its lead stars Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo are being tagged by the entertainment press as the next Claudine Barretto and Judy Ann Santos.

This is simply because both Julia and Kathryn show a lot of promise in their budding career since their last project, “Mara Clara,” has been a nationwide top-rater.
