Angel Locsin to do Another Movie With Star Cinema

Fresh from the successful screening of her movie "In the Name of Love" in the US, actress Angel Locsin bared that she is now gearing up for a new project that will surely excite her fans.

"Yes, mayroong ina-ayos na project, but I'm not sure kung allowed na akong magsalita tungkol doon," Locsin said.

Report has it that Locsin will be part of Star Cinema's upcoming film "Maalaala Mo Kaya: The Movie."

The movie is the grand offering of ABS-CBN for the 20th anniversary of the country's longest running anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

A previous report said that aside from Locsin, rumored sweethearts Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo will also be part of the movie.

Ai-Ai delas Alas Says Movie With Vic Sotto is a Dream Come True

Kung noon ay palaging magkalaban ang mga pelikula nila sa annual Metro Manila Film Festival, ngayong taon ay magsasama na sina Vic Sotto at Aiai Delas Alas sa isang higanteng proyekto. Magsasanib pwersa ang Star Cinema at M-Zet Productions para sa pelikulang gagawin nina Vic at Aiai.

“Dream come true, wish come true saka answered prayer na makasama si Bossing finally sa isang movie. Sabi ko last year, sana next year hindi na kami magkalaban, magkakampi na kami,” nakangiting pahayag ni Aiai.

Minsan nang nagkasama sa isang sitcom sa GMA sina Vic at Aiai at mula noon ay hindi pa sila nabibigyan ng chance na magka-trabaho muli kaya matagal na raw talagang pinapangarap ng comedy queen na muling makasama si Bossing Vic. “Oo! Sobra kasi idol ko nga iyan, saka si Bossing nakakatawa yun, nakakatawa kasama. Siyempre first time part 2, part 3, part 4 ito,” dagdag pa ng aktres.

Sinisiguro raw ni Aiai na dobleng saya at katatawanan ang ihahatid nila ni Vic sa kanilang mga tagahanga sa pelikulang gagawin nila. “More fun, lahat ng makakapagpasaya sa tao gagawin namin ni Bossing,” pagtatapos ng Comedy Queen.

Bautista lost to Ruiz via unanimous decision during their first encounter in Las Vegas on November of 2008 wherein the counter punching Mexican floored the Boholano banger during the third round. Usually, people don’t easily realize how precious time is. Thus, cramming has always been a practice of both the youth and the adults. This Saturday, “Wansapanataym” reminds and tells its viewers the value of time and how every minute counts via its episode called “Aurora’s Oras.”

Playing vital characters in the “Wansapanatayam” episode are Angel Sy, Tetchi Agbayani, Ricardo Cepeda, Kristoff Meneses, Miles Ocampo, and Nikki Bagaporo.

Directed by Francis Pasion and written by Noreen Capili, the story revolves around Aurora, a girl who does not value her time. She always comes late and runs after deadline. However, a magical watch alters her life.

Earning a national rating of 21.4% according to Kantar Media last Saturday (June 4), “Wansapanataym” casted a powerful spell against its rival program on GMA 7, “Andres De Saya,” which only got a 13.7% national rating.

Jericho Rosales Plans to Study Acting in New York

Fresh from the successful run of the teleserye "Green Rose" and a sold out screening of "Subject: I Love You" at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California, Jericho Rosales is looking forward to more opportunities.

Rosales, who was also given a special award for "Outstanding Achievement in Acting" at the Newport film fest, said the movie opened up opportunities not only for him but for other Filipinos to get into the mainstream movie industry.

"Nakita nila na may market ‘yong Filipino and we're really hoping sana na they see the potential na malaki ang market ng Filipino all around the world. We can actually penetrate the international scene, 'di ba?" he said.

The Kapamilya star checked out the New York Film Academy where he is planning to take a month-long course in acting to get ready for a possible Hollywood career.

"I'm going to study. I'm going to see how it works here, kung papaano sa LA, paano dito sa New York, paano sa America basically. That's just me. I just wanna keep on learning. I just wanna expand," said Rosales.

The versatile actor is also planning to launch an international singing career.

The theme song he wrote and sang for the teleserye "Green Rose" was a big hit during the TFC Hour held on Philippine Independence Day.

Rosales said if all his plans push through, his fans will get to see more of him in New York and in Hollywood in the next few months.

Toni Gonzaga Happy for Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo

Actress-host Toni Gonzaga said she is happy for her friend, actor Zanjoe Marudo, who is now dating actress Bea Alonzo.

In an interview during the last shooting day of her upcoming film "Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi," with Marudo and comedienne Eugene Domingo, Gonzaga said she is glad that Marudo has found a new love.

"Oo naman (happy ako) kasi they both deserve the love and happiness na mayroon sila ngayon. So ako I'm all for them. I support them," said Gonzaga, a friend of Mariel Rodriguez, ex-girlfriend of Marudo.

Gonzaga said she also understands Marudo and Alonzo's decision to keep their relationship private.

"If ever hindi pa nila ino-all out sa public, maybe because they want to keep it to themselves and enjoy the privacy and the moment na mayroon sila. Basta kaming mga kaibigan nila ay nandito kami para sa kanila," Gonzaga said.

Alonzo is currently the leading lady of Rodriguez's husband Robin Padilla in ABS-CBN's newest TV series "Guns and Roses".

Gonzaga and Marudo, on the other hand, worked together in 2007 for the film "You've Got Me."

Zanjoe Marudo Thrilled Over New Film

Actor Zanjoe Marudo shared his excitement over his newest movie, "Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi."

In an interview during the last shooting day of the film, Marudo said he considers the film as a blessing.

In the movie, Marudo is joined by actresses Eugene Domingo and Toni Gonzaga, who is also his friend.

"Nakakatuwa na mayroon ulit akong ginawa sa Star Cinema. Masaya ang pelikula kasi kasama ko si Eugene at Toni," Marudo said.

The actor said he is also happy to finally work with the film's director, Jose Javier Reyes.

"At first time kong nakasama si Jose Javier Reyes kaya blessing sa akin itong pelikula na ito," Marudo said.

Co-produced by OctoArts Films and Star Cinema, the movie also stars Wendell Ramos.

Marudo, whose last TV series was "Kristine", is also gearing up for a new series with the working title "Alta" with actresses KC Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban and Gretchen Barretto.

"Sa TV naman looking forward ako sa mga project ko sa ABS-CBN. Kasi after 'Kristine', ito nagkaroon ng time para makagawa ng bagong teleserye," Marudo ended.

Jhong Hilario Longs to be Back in Showtime

After the success of his show "Mara Clara," award-winning actor Jhong Hilario expressed his desire to be back again on ABS-CBN's hit talent show "Showtime."

Hilario, dubbed as "Jhong Sampol" because of his dance moves in "Showtime," admitted that he really misses being one of the judges of the talent show.

"Hopefully sana ay maibalik nila ako doon, kasi sobrang na-miss ko ang 'Showtime,'" Hilario said.

The actor left the show to play the kontrabida character Gary in "Mara Clara".

Hilario admitted that he misses dancing for the talent show and also misses "Showtime"'s resident judge Vice Ganda, whom he calls "Cutie Pie."

"For 8 months na ginagawa ko ang 'Mara Clara' nahinto tayo sa pagsasayaw. Na-miss ko 'yon at na-miss ko din ang madlang people. And sana makabalik din tayo doon para makita ko na din si Cutie Pie. Miss you," Hilario said.

Hilario, who used to be with the Streetboys and acted in the movies "Muro Ami," "D' Anothers", and "Dekada '70", made a name for himself again when he became one of the judges for seasons 1 and 2 of "Showtime".
