Piolo Pascual Admits Relationship With KC Concepcion

Hunk actor Piolo Pascual on Sunday finally broke his silence on the real score between him and actress-TV host KC Concepcion. Pascual admitted on The Buzz, where Concepcion is a host, that he and the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta are in a romantic relationship. Concepcion became his girlfriend on October 21 last year, he revealed. "It took me 2 years (before she said yes). Tsaka na 'yung detalye. Basta that's one of the best days of my life. For the first time in more than 8 years, I'm getting into a relationship, a commitment. And I'm planning to keep it," he told The Buzz host Charlene Gonzales. Asked about his term of endearment to Concepcion, Pascual said, "I call her my princess."

For months, Pascual and Concepcion have been mum on the status of their relationship, saying that they want to stay away from the "huzzles and buzzles" of showbiz. Pascual, in particular, wanted to keep things private so as not to affect his 13-year-old son, Iñigo. "The reason why I never admitted naman was because may pinoprotektahan ako. I have a son, ayaw mong magkaroon ng ibang reaction 'yung bata. He's only 13 years old," he explained. He continued, "Mahirap talaga (for her) and I found it too unfair kasi siya lagi ang nagsasalita. So finally a couple of days ago I said na it's time for me to speak up...it's also my responsibility para she's not left in the dark, para hindi siya nahihirapang sumagot."

The hunk actor also apologized to Concepcion, "Sorry if it took me this long. It's a thorn off my chest, I must say." 'KC is taken' Pascual said he also decided to announce his relationship with Concepcion so the latter's admirers would no longer consider courting the actress. Among those rumored to have expressed interest in the Megadaughter are Azkals football player Phil Younghusband, actor Sam Milby, and apl.de.ap, the Filipino member of American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas. "Para matigilan na rin 'yung mga nagpaparinig kay Kristina (laughs)," Pascual said. He added, "I wouldn't want to watch another interview para may magsabi na may crush sa kanya or gustong makipag-date. I just want them to know that she's taken."

Pascual thanked Concepcion for "sticking it out with me" and for being "sobrang sobrang patient and understanding." Asked if Concepcion is the woman he's willing to spend the rest of his life with, the hunk actor said, "Siguro di naman ako aamin nang ganito or magta-take ng risk kung sa tingin ko di ko siya gusto makasama habangbuhay."

After the interview, Pascual went straight to Concepcion's dressing room and gave his girlfriend a big hug, according to Boy Abunda, one of the hosts of The Buzz. "It had really been a struggle for KC. Kasi hindi madali sa babae na 'pag tinatanong na 'are you together' will say na 'no it shouldn't come from me," Abunda said.

The Buzz host Toni Gonzaga, for her part, announced that Pascual first proposed to Concepcion in September 21, 2010, but the actress-host wanted some time to think and traveled to Europe. After a month, Concepcion said yes. "Hindi dapat KC ang pangalan niya ngayon. Rapunzel. Haba ng hair, abot na sa labas ng studio," Gonzaga said in jest.

Concepcion, meanwhile, broke into tears upon knowing that they can finally make their relationship public. "Ang dami-dami naming pinagdaanan ni PJ, kung alam niyo lang. He's a good guy, a really really good guy," she said. She ended, "It was very sincere...Thank you, PJ, for being honest today."

Ito ang kauna-unahang pelikula ng Star Cinema na ipalalabas ngayong taon. Kakaiba ang Bulong dahil nakakatawa at nakakatakot ang tema ng pelikula. Naka-sentro ang kuwento nito sa isang lumang paniniwala na kapag bumulong ka sa isang patay na tao ay maaari kang humiling at posible itong matupad.

Masayang-masaya sina Vhong at Angelica dahil ngayon lang ulit sila nagkasama sa isang pelikula. Sa Separada huling nagkasama ang dalawa.

“Bale second time na ito. ’Yung una ang tagal na, parang seven years old lang siya (Angelica) noon. Nakakagulat kasi ngayon eto na, nakatatak siya sa akin nung time na Ang TV, ’yung bata, ngayon katapat mo na, kaeksena mo na. Ang galing magpatawa, ang galing mag-drama. Nakakatuwa na magkasama kami sa pelikula at tinanggap niya itong project,” pahayag ni Vhong.

“Si Vhong kasi magkaibigan kami niyan noon pa. Mula bata ako ay nagkikita na kami, sa ASAP, sa ABS-CBN, sa labas ay nagkikita kami. Sobra akong suwerte, ’di ako pinahirapan ni Vhong. Para siyang dream come true na ’yung sobrang galing na komedyante sa generation niya, nabigyan ako ng pagkakataong makatrabaho siya. Nakakatuwa dahil isa siyang maharot na leading man,” pahayag naman ni Angelica.

Very excited din sina Angelica at Vhong dahil muli rin nilang nakatrabaho si Direk Chito for this project.

“Sobrang excited ako na magkasama ulit kami ni Direk Chito, dahil ’yung Spirit Warriors sobrang naging maganda ang feedback sa amin sa Streetboys. Nagawa niyang maganda ’yung takutin ang tao and at the same time ay patawanin. Ang sarap ng feeling na nagawa namin ng maganda, ’yung kaming dalawa ni Direk Chito,” kuwento ni Vhong.

“Nakaka-excite siyang makatrabaho kasi kahit inuumaga ka, kahit pagod na pagod kang uuwi, okay lang kasi alam mong nagtrabaho ka at sobrang ganda ng ginawa ninyo. Si Direk Chito, lahat ng horror films na ginawa niya ay walang kasing husay, parang siya lang ang may kayang gumawa ng ganitong klaseng horror movies.”

Ngayon ay sobrang close na sina Angelica at Vhong dahil sa kanilang ginawang pelikula. Pinagseselosan kaya ng non-showbiz girlfriend ni Vhong ang aktres?

“Hindi naman dahil alam naman niya na si Angelica ay professional at trabaho lang,” paglilinaw ni Vhong.

Ano naman kaya ang naging reaksiyon ni Derek Ramsay nang malaman na makakasama ng girlfriend niya ang komedyante? “Nang malaman niya na gagawa ako ng movie with Vhong ay ayaw na niyang ipatanggap sa akin. Na-threaten sa katawan pa lang, ’yung face pa lang. Sabi niya (Derek), ‘hihiwalayan kita kapag ginawa mo iyan,’” pabirong sagot naman ni Angelica.

Just when you thought that drama princess Kim Chiu had enough endorsement like Coca Cola, Whisper, Bench and others, think again. Recently, one of the most bankable stars in Philippine TV released her latest endorsement and it is the Goya Twists Pretzel.

Unlike the other endorsements she had that’s glam and chic, the Goya Twists Pretzel commercial that Kim did was more of a playful endorsement. Kim showed her other talent and that is being a contortionist. It is an ability to bend or flex body parts, and this was shown by Kim during her stint as Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. In her commercial she bends her legs to her head while talking to someone over the phone and while eating the Goya Twists Pretzel.

Jewel Mische Aims to Focus Just on Work Now

The actress, who stars with Gerald Anderson and Rap Fernandez in the series, said that it’s hard to make her choose on which of her two co-stars she likes more. “Pareho ko sila nakasama pareho pero I think medyo obvious namanna opposites sila, even with their personalities. I can’t choose who I like better because they’re both different. Yung character ni Rap is the silent type. Si Gerald, siya yung bubbly,” she explained.

Despite persistent questions asking about the possibility of her getting swept off her feet by Gerald, Jewel opted to throw the question back to her Fil-Am co-star. “Gugustuhin mo bang tangayin ako? Kailangan sagutin muna niya yun,” she said with a smile.

Now that she has signed up for two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, Jewel admitted that she really wants to focus on prioritizing her showbiz career. “I’m with Star Magic na and sobrang inaalagaan nila ako, as in. I feel so loved. I want to be more visible in showbiz now because I want to give it a try again and give it my all this time. Gusto ko ng panibagong panimula so it’s something new for me also and what can I offer but my full dedication, my time and my determination to do my job well,” she shared.

Jewel admitted that there have been no regrets on her part ever since she transferred home networks. “I think it’s worth it in a sense na na-ri-reach ko naman yung goal ko. As of now, everything para sa akin is unexpected. I’m just so grateful that ABS-CBN is giving me this chance and they’re trusting me sa ganitong mga projects. So this is the first time that I’m giving it my all when it comes to my showbiz career. It’s really the first time kaya nga nabanggit ko before yung bagong pagsisimula talaga sa career,” she said.

Jewel also feels lucky that there is no bad blood from her transfer. “I came from GMA, so whatever success I will have in ABS-CBN, they will be proud of me. Kasi sila yung nag-discover sa akin and I give them that credit. Sobrang blessing sa akin na walang opposition from anybody although matagal yung process. I was able to talk with the bosses of GMA and nirespeto nila ako kaya na-gain rin nila lalo yung repseto ko for them. Even after my contract signing, I was able to meet up with Atty. (Felipe) Gozon and thank him again personally for giving me this chance and thanks to tita Annabelle (Rama) for being the bridge, lagi naman. Yun po,” she said.

ASAP Sessionistas Mentor Star Power 5

As the grand finals on February 20 come near, the Star Power 5 is wasting no time to prepare, learn more and focus on their common goal to become Sharon’s Next Female Pop Superstar.

Ai-Ai delas Alas Gets Guaranteed Contract from ABS-CBN

Just like Kris Aquino, the Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas was also granted with a guaranteed contract by ABS-CBN “Kapamilya” network.

Guaranteed contract means that even if a talent has no show, he or she would still be receiving a salary of not only thousands, but millions per month. However, Ai Ai refused to tell the exact figure when asked about it. The comedy actress said that she will be receiving enough to make her feel happy and comforted, for she will no longer be thinking of where she gets money for her daily needs.

There are rumors telling that Ai Ai would be receiving nearly P10 million from the guaranteed contract with ABS-CBN. However, the actress has again, denied this buzz. She said that the network’s offer is not really that much. According to Ai Ai, the guaranteed contract with Channel 2 is just supplemented to her existing contract. And she considers all these a blessing from God.

Next month, Ai Ai will be heading to China with Kim Chiu to work on their new TV series in ABS-CBN entitled, “Binondo”. She will also be working soon on a new movie, 2nd of the 3-movie picture contract she signed with Star Cinema.

Angelica Panganiban Proves Her Prowess in Comedy

Vhong Navarro and Angelica Panganiban star in Star Cinema's horror-comedy film "Bulong". While Vhong is an acknowledged comedy star, Angelica is otherwise known as a drama star with a sexpot image.

The indie film and surprise hit, 2010’s “Here Comes The Bride,” changed all that for the “Rubi” actress. Angelica succeeded in the film’s comic department with her deadpan characterization and perfect timing.

It also helped that the former child star has honed her comedy chops so well with her weekly stint on the gag show, “Banana Split.”

In time, Angelica can hold her own against other veteran comedians like Ai Ai de las Alas. A sex-comedy starring the two of them can possibly work as Angelica has proven in her encounter with Eugene Domingo, her more senior co-star in “Bride,” which incidentally, is said to come up with a sequel this year.

Enchong Dee Denies Rift Between Kim Chiu and Erich Gonzales

For the Nth time, young actor Enchong Dee clarified that his on screen partner Erich Gonzales and co-star Kim Chiu are not involved in a rift.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Saturday, Dee appealed for people to stop speculating about the non-existent tiff.

“Sa mga taong patuloy na gumagawa ng kuwento at naninira sa amin, sana tigilan niyo na. Ang masasabi ko po talaga na magkaibigan sila, walang ganon,” said Dee.

The actor also denied that there is a budding romance between him and Chiu. He, however, admitted that he got something for the actress when he came back from a vacation in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Dee was recently launched as one of the new batch of “Agimat Boys”.

Along with actors Jason Abalos and Ejay Falcon, the 3 said they feel so honored in meeting actor and former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., the original star of “Agimat”.

Revilla told the 3 matinee idols to make the most out of their youth and always give their best in every project. He also teased them about their love lives.

“Masuwerte kayong mga kabataan. Noong sikat din ako marami akong kaibigang chicks,” Revilla said in jest

Enchong Dee as Boy Putik

Enchong Dee will soon portray Boy Putik in a future Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla series. He admitted that it is a big honor to reprise a role which became popular in Philippine cinema. He admitted that he feels pressured to make sure that he lives up to the role. “Si (Ramon Revilla) mismo pinaghirapan niya nung ginagawa niya ‘yung proyektong ‘yun [kaya] sa amin mas malaking pressure. Tsaka history na ito. Kumbaga mababasa na ng mga bata na ito ‘yung ginawa ni Ramon Revilla.”

He also said that the most memorable advice he got from the veteran actor/politician is to continue honing his acting skill. “Parang walang ceiling ‘yung pag-i-improve mo sa sarili mo. Kumbaga dapat hindi mo lilimitahan ang sarili mo kapag sinabihan ng tao na magaling ka nang umarte, na hanggang dun ka na lang. Kumbaga hindi dapat kasi andami-dami mo pang pwedeng matutunan sa bawat proyektong ginagawa mo, sa bawat taong nakakasama mo.”

Ahron Villena Happy to be Back With ABS-CBN

After his stint last year in a reality show on another network, Ahron Villena returns to ABS-CBN as part of the cast of the new primetime fantaserye Mutya. In an interview during the press conference for Mutya, Ahron clarified that there’s no conflict with his latest network switch. “Actually may offer naman sa akin dun pero by March pa daw. My manager told me na may offer na agad, ito ngang Mutya. Actually may six-month contract pa ako with Survivor, pero nagpa-release na ako. They agreed naman so okay na.”

Ahron said he was very thankful that he was given a role in Mutya because for him, there’s nothing like coming back to where he came from. “Masaya ako kasi nabigyan ako ng ganito kagandang offer. I’m happy to be with ABS-CBN kasi dito naman talaga ako nagsimula, MTB Idols na nun. I hope madami pang work ang dumating.”

In Mutya, Ahron takes on the role of Zale, a merman who will rebel against his own clan. Doing villain roles is not a new challenge for Ahron because his last notable role in ABS-CBN was as the kontrabida in Precious Hearts Romances presents Somewhere in my Heart top-billed by Kaye Abad and Guji Lorenzana. “Ngayon hindi naman ganun kasama. ‘Yung sa PHR parang may tama na talaga sa pagiisip ‘yun. Itong sa Mutya tamang kontrabida lang.”

Ahron shared that he is having a great time wearing the merman costume and doing scenes underwater in Mutya. “Ang sarap ng feeling kapag lumalangoy ka sa tubig na may buntot. Kapag tinatanggal nga ‘yung buntot naninibago na ako. Last year pa nagte-training kami. Akala ko nung mahirap pero enjoy naman pala.”

Upon confirming what his role in Mutya was going to be, Ahron immediately hit the gym to get in shape since as a merman he will mostly be topless in his scenes. The biggest drawback however in being shirtless during taping is whenever temperature drops. “Ang kalaban lang namin is ‘yung lamig. Madalas nga kasi topless kami. Sobrang lamig kapag madaling araw na.”
