Juris Will Record Music Album in South Korea

"We had a recording here talaga, 'tapos send lang lahat via e-mail.

'Yong iba kasi English.

"But they've added a song na 'Officially Missing You' kasi sikat yata doon and I have one song from my album dito na isinama nila dahil nagustuhan nila 'yong ginawa ko, 'yong ginawa ni Mr. Junjee Marcelo, 'Opposites Attract.'

"Nakakatuwa, siyempre I'm very happy and feel so blessed. And I wanna say thank you siguro sa mga nagre-request do'n or via Internet din, naririnig 'yong mga kanta ko.

I don't know, I guess bale natulungan din 'yong gano'ng klase.

Aniya, "Masaya 'yong tugtog nila, masaya 'yong music nila. Very catchy, actually, 'yong mga music nila.

'Tapos noong trinanslate, very relatable.

"Hopefully, we can release an actual album. Pero dadagdagan po kasi yata ng mga original song din, maybe second quarter ng year na 'to."

Sandara Park Takes a Private Vacation in the Philippines

Korean pop star Sandara Park recently went on a 5-day vacation in the Philippines, but avoided the public eye ever since she arrived last January 8 with her sister Durami.

Set to debut with the rest of the girls of 2NE1 this February in Japan, Park had some rest and relaxation and saw some friends in the country she treats as her second home.

However, she had to follow the directive of her management, YG Entertainment, not to have any public appearances or interviews including photos taken with fans as it was vacation time for her and she is not to concern herself with work-related activities.

Park, of course, had to see her “Star Circle Quest” friends first and foremost, and fortunately had the chance to meet Melissa Ricks on the eve of her birthday.

She was also able to meet up with soon-to-be married Roxanne Guinoo and see her friend’s 3-month-old baby during an out-of-town trip.

Joross Gamboa also took her to Ricks’s party too, where she met the birthday celebrant’s rumored boyfriend Jake Cuenca and talked to a longtime fan, actor Enchong Dee.

She also caught up with the ABS-CBN Star Magic and "ASAP" staff at their offices.

Park was also able to meet Jed Madela, Sam Concepcion, Young JV, Drei Felix, Nyoy Volante, RJ Jimenez, and fellow Korean, "Pinoy Big Brother" teen Ryan Bang, who was overly hyper when they were introduced to each other.

Park also took the time to see her high school barkada.

The singer also bonded with her sister and some friends in Subic Bay in Zambales, where she watched dolphins, sea lions, tigers, and other animals she missed visiting during the time she shot for 2NE1 TV’s first season.

She also went boating at one of Bataan’s private resorts.

She went shopping for her favorite Filipino treats such as dried mangoes and “inipit” and “pasalubong” for 2NE1 members Park Bom, Minzy, and CL.

Park also stuffed herself full of her favorite Filipino dishes such as sinigang na hipon, sisig, and pakbet, and spaghetti and chicken from a fast-food chain.

As much as Park wanted to extend her stay for Guinoo’s wedding, she was also keen on going back to Korea yesterday, January 12, since her brother Sang-hyun (or Thunder as he is now known in Korea) is making his comeback onstage in Korea with the idol group MBLAQ today, January 13.

Parks wants to give him her all out support as his group launches their first full album.

But before she left the Philippines, Park left a very special message for her Filipino followers, old and new.

“Kamusta? Pasensya na kayo sa ‘kin. This time ‘di ako nagpakita sa inyo… Private vacation ko kasi with my sister. Kaya sana ‘di kayo tatampo sa ‘kin. Hope to see you guys next time and sana kasama ko na ang 2NE1 girls din. Yeah! Thank you sa support niyo! Mahal ko kayo!”

Sarah Geronimo Breaks Silence Over Rift With Cristine Reyes

Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo finally broke her silence on Friday over a rift with sultry actress Cristine Reyes which started last year.

During a press conference for her upcoming Valentine show with Martin Nievera, Geronimo failed to evade the entertainment media when she was asked for a reaction to Reyes’ posts in the microblogging site Twitter last December.

Reyes used Twitter to vent her anger against Geronimo, her “ASAP XV” co-host, over an alleged remark by the Pop Star during the dress rehearsals for the musical variety show. Geronimo reportedly said that sexy women are always after men who are good dancers.

According to Geronimo, Reyes’ tweets caught her off-guard. She said that she does not speak behind someone’s back, and if she has something against someone, she directly approaches the person to confront him or her.

The singer stressed she was not insinuating "something" during the controversial “ASAP XV” rehearsal.

Reyes already apologized via Twitter for the fuss she had caused. Geronimo, meanwhile, refused to comment about the said apology.

The singer-actress also revealed that she and actor Rayver Cruz are not on speaking terms after the latter admitted that he was the one who told Reyes about Geronimo's remarks during the rehearsals for the musical variety show.

Asked if she would like to clarify the real status of her relationship with the actor, she said: “Saka na lang po ako magsasalita. Pag-ako nagsalita bonggang bongga salita. (Kelan yan?) 2012...ha ha ha ha.”

The Pop Star Princess claimed that she does not want people to think that she is just using the issue to promote her forthcoming Valentine concert.

Although there was never a confirmation, Cruz and Geronimo were repeatedly rumored to have been a couple. Reyes is currently the girlfriend of Cruz.

Sharon Cuneta Suffers Overfatigue on Her Birthday Concert

Sharon Cuneta suddenly felt ill right after the finale of her birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum last January 11. Backstage, the ABS-CBN reporters were ready to congratulate her for having staged a successful event. But the Megastar wasn’t able to give an interview since she seemed to be suffering from over-fatigue. She went straight to her dressing room and was quickly assisted by the paramedics. Many couldn’t help but feel worried, however, when she had to use a wheelchair as she was escorted out of Araneta together with husband Kiko Pangilinan and other companions.

The audience witnessed how Sharon accidentally slipped earlier during her rock and roll production number with Billy Crawford and RJ Jacinto. But afterwards she even joked about her fall and was still able to finish the concert without any other glitch. Whether or not it has a contributing factor to Sharon’s sudden illness is still unclear though. The Megastar, however, had been sick last week and might have not completely recovered yet.

In the meantime, it was certainly a night to remember for Sharon’s fans with all the spectacular production numbers. First off, the Megastar sang a medley with Star Power’s five finalists Akiko Solon, Monica Sacay, Angeline Quinto, K-La Rivera, and Krissel Valdez. KC Concepcion and Sam Milby wowed the audience next with their amazing acrobatic dance moves. Ai-Ai de las Alas’s surprise sexy dance number was also one of the highlights of the show.

A romantic rendition of Sharon’s movie themes were also showcased by the three kilig love teams of Piolo Pascual and KC; Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga; and Jericho Rosales and Karylle. They sang “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin,” “Pagdating Ng Panahon,” and “Kahit Wala Ka Na,” respectively. But perhaps most special of all was Sharon’s duet with the Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo during the latter part of the show.

Melai Cantiveros on Precious Heart Romances Presents Mana Po

Melai Cantiveros will soon star in her own teleserye together with real-life boyfriend Jason Francisco in the next installment of Precious Hearts Romances entitled Mana Po. The Prinsesa ng Masa admitted that although she is nervous, she is ready to take on the challenge. At the same time sa aming dalawa [ni Jason] nag-iikot ang story,” she shared. Their fellow Pinoy Big Brother Double Up ex-housemate Tom Rodriguez will portray the third wheel in their team-up in the upcoming series.

When Push.com.ph asked Melai if she is ready for the responsibilities that go along with playing the lead in her own show, she replied, “Nakaya ko naman nung nag-star ako sa Maalaala Mo Kaya at Wansapanataym. The teleserye will be romantic-comedy, of which Melai joked, “May drama, may comedy, may hahaha! May pressure, romance, may love story. Basta halo-halo. Sila na lang bahala maglunok (absorb).”

The Inday Kenkay ng GenSan is a mainstay of the daily gag show Banana Split and will also be one of the hosts an upcoming reality-based show, I Dare You, opposite Jericho Rosales and Iya Villania. She also revealed that an offer to make an indie film in the future is also possible.

Melai said that she is open to have other leading men besides Jason, but admitted that she is most comfortable working with her boyfriend. She related that she just feels uncomfortable if she has a new leading man, and an intimate scene is required, such as that with Sam Milby in Impostor and they had to do a kissing scene by the seashore. “Naiilang kasi kapag maraming tao sa mga scene na ganon kasi iba ‘pag kayong dalawa (Melai and Jason) kahit maraming taong nanonood.”

She happily revealed that their relationship is now on its 11th month and despite their away-bati relationship, she is happy that they have grown more understanding of each other.

Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson Will Remain Special to One Another

Okay naman na-experience ko na ‘yung snow for the first time.

“They’re very okay now. Masaya si Kim,” sabi ni Toni.

Tony Velasquez' s "Krusada" on Road Safety

Traffic jams, road rage incidents, and vehicular accidents are turning to be normal fare in the country’s main roads and highways due to the reckless driving of some drivers.

Their lack of discipline and utter disregard of traffic rules have led to not just wasted time but destruction of both property and life. With the growing accident rate in the Philippines, is it safe to say that Filipino drivers have really changed from the stereotype “sweet lovers” to “accident-lovers?”

This Thursday (Jan 13) in “Krusada,” Tony Velasquez will zoom in on the recent road mishaps such as the STAR tollway tragedy, which have shocked the nation. Join Velasquez as he finds out the root cause of the road safety problem in the Philippines. Who is to blame and what can be done to turn things around?

It has been Velasquez’s crusade to instill discipline among motorists in order to reduce if not eradicate the incidence of accidents in the country’s thoroughfares. But could it be that the government is also at fault for these tragedies due to inefficient infrastructures and systems in our streets?

Find out what public officials are doing to uphold the United Nations’ Action for Road Safety from 2011 and 2020 with Tony Velasquez this Thursday (Jan 13) in “Krusada” after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.

Mara Fights Back on Mara Clara

Coco Martin and Zanjoe Marudo lead a group of Kapamilya stars who will grace the Sinulog Festival in Cebu.

Piolo Pascual and Son Inigo's Duet on ASAP Rocks

The “mysterious” son of Piolo Pascual appeared on video last Sunday to sing duet with his dad on ASAP Rocks.

Actually it was a surprise prepared by the staff of ASAP Rocks.

During the first number, Piolo performs “I’ll Be There For You” and half-way through the song, Xyriel Manabat and Zaijan Jaranilla, his son in the fantaserye “Noah” joined him onstage.

When Piolo was singing his second song–”I Want To Hold Your Hand” by the Beatles–his son Iñigo Pascual showed up on video singing the same song. Piolo, who was surprised and already teary-eyed that moment continued the song as if he was singing duet with his son live on stage.

After the song, Iñigo uttered a short but sweet greeting to his father.

“Happy Birthday Pa I Love You,” he said.

So perhaps Alfie Lorenzo now believes that “Iñigo” is real and not just an “imaginary” son of Piolo as he claimed he is.
