This time, it’s multi-talented celebrity Sheryl Crow who shares her life and career’s never-before-told stories on E! True Hollywood Story, January 1, Saturday, at 4 p.m.

In this very revealing episode of E! True Hollywood Story, 48-year-old Crow shares how she surpassed the most trying times in her career. She also confesses her great fear of cancer.

Crow started her Hollywood career as a back-up dancer for the King of Pop Michael Jackson. And like any other diligent stardom aspirant, Crow eventually made her own debut as a solo performer. She then earned nine Grammy Awards and several recognitions from National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. But before she even reached the peak of her career as a versatile artist, Crow underwent trials which challenged her strength.

She has also performed as backing vocals for Tina Turner and Don Henley. Crow has released seven studio albums, two compilations and a live album, and has contributed to film soundtracks. She has sold 16 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.

Direk Wenn Deramas Overwhelmed With Box Office Success of Ang Tanging Ina

What controversial film director Wenn V. Deramas hopes at this stage of the showing of all 7 official entries to the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival Philippines is for his film “Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin (Last Na ‘To),” to earn double that of the more than P200-million gross earning of its earlier version shown in the same filmfest 2 years ago.

“Sana, ma-outgross nitong taong ito ang kinita ng ‘Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat’ noon para may bonus na naman kami,” said Deramas at the Meralco Theater after the awards night of the 36th MMFFP.

“Itong version ngayong taong ito, naka-more than P20 million kami on its first day,” happily revealed Wenn who also won Best Director for this year’s “Ang Tanging Ina” edition.

“Double whanny talaga ako ngayon dahil ang daming napanalunan ng pelikula namin,” he qualified.

Star Cinema, the film production arm of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, is quite confident “Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin (Last Na ‘To)” would rake in millions until the festival ends on January 7, 2011.

“Umaasa kami na malalagpasan ngayon ang kinita ng version namin noon and Star Cinema is very positive about it,” added Wenn.

In its share to the total earnings of the festival on its first day, Deramas is very confident as well his film will definitely contribute to the overall receipts of the MMFFP at the tills.

According to Francis Tolentino, chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority and overall head of the 2010 MMFFP, the event has already earned the agency a whooping take home of P90 million on its first day.

“We are able to surpass last year’s initial earnings of P70 million,” he announced.

On the critical side, “Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin (Last Na ‘To)” has convinced the jurors of its artistic worth with no less than respected critic Butch Francisco of Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, speaking on its merits.

“Ibang-iba ang version ngayon ng ‘Ang Tanging Ina’ compared to the earlier editions. Sumunod talaga ang pelikula ni Wenn sa criteria ng MMFFP,” extolled Francisco.

Goin' Bulilit Kids' New Years Resolutions

Kung inaakala ng nakararami na mga matatanda lamang ang dapat magbagong-buhay ngayong bagong taon, dyan sila marahil nagkamali. Maging mga Goin’ Bulilit stars kasi ay excited ng tuparin ang kaniya-kaniyang New Year’s resolution para sa darating na taong 2011.

Isa nga sa mga nais baguhin ng bahagya ang kanyang nakagawiang pamumuhay ay ang Goin’ Bulilit pioneer na si Nash Aguas. Aniya, bilang isang lumalaking bata, lalo pa niyang dapat pag-ibayuhin ang disiplina sa sarili.

“Ngayong darating na 2011, dapat bigyang halaga pa lalo ang pag-aaral ngayong lumalaki na ako,” ani Nash.

Buong puso ding ipinagmalaki ni Nash na malaki ang kanyang pasasalamat sa kanyang magulang na laging dumidisiplina’t gumagabay sa kanya. “Siyempre po alam ng magulang ko yung New Year’s resolution ko, para kung sakaling makalimot po ako, ire-remind nila ako.”

Hangad naman ni Aaron Junatas na magkaroon ng mas maraming time na makipag-bonding sa pamilya sa pagpasok ng bagong taon.

“Sobrang naging busy po ako sa pag-aartista nu’ng 2010. Ngayon po gusto ko naman na magkaroon ng time sa pamilya ko,” sabi ni Aaron.

Para naman sa sandamakmak na blessings na natanggap ni Sharlene San Pedro, dasal-pasasalamat naman ang nais niyang parating gawin. Bukod daw kasi sa kanyang mapagmahal na mga magulang, Diyos daw ang kanyang inspirasyon.

“Lalo pa po akong magpe-pray na sana patuloy pa yung mga blessings na matanggap po ng family namin. Sana din gabayan pa kami ni Bro.” Ani Sharlene.

Ngayong darating na Linggo, sa Goin’ Bulilit, pagkatapos ng TV Patrol Weekend, 12 Days of Christmas musical ang drama ng kwelang-kwelang mga Bulilits. Plus, ibibigay din nila kung anong “in” at “out” para sa taong 2011. Hindi pa diyan natatapos ang walang-humpay na hagalpakan. Umaatikabong gags na tungkol sa bagong taon ang kanilang ihahandog.

Gary Valenciano Fulfills Request of a Cancer Patient

Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano has touched the life of a cancer patient whose only wish this Christmas is to meet him.

Josephine Nicolas of Batangas City has been fighting cancer for quite some time now. She has discovered a lump in her ovary in 1992. Due to financial problems, however, she was not able to have it checked.

She related how hard it is for her every time she misses taking her pain-relieving medicines due to lack of funds. “Kapag hindi nakainom ng gamot, masakit. Walang pambili," she said.

Nicolas shared that her husband’s income is not enough for her health care needs. Her only daughter, on the other hand, could not find a job because she’s the one taking care of her at home.

At the age of 54, Nicolas has already accepted that she is going to join her Creator soon. But before this happens, her family vowed to do anything just to make her remaining days memorable.

With the help of ABS-CBN, Nicolas's wish to meet Valenciano was fulfilled. The singer went out of his way just to grant the family’s request.

During his visit, Mr. Pure Energy serenaded Nicolas to make her feel better. He also stayed and talked with the whole family.

Moreover, the singer promised to extend some medical support to Nicolas through his Shining Light Foundation.

And before leaving, Valenciano prayed for her.

Nicolas was obviously delighted after meeting Mr. Pure Energy himself. Her family was so happy to have fulfilled her wish this Christmas with the help of ABS-CBN.

Coco Martin Hopes to Work Again With Kris Aquino

Actor Coco Martin is still hoping to do another project with Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

Martin, who was once linked to the President's sister after they did the series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo", said that conflict in schedules is getting in the way of plans to do another project with Aquino.

"Sabi ko nga sana magkatrabaho kami. Talagang gusto namin na makatrabaho sana ulit ang isa't isa. Kaso nga lang nagkaproblema ako sa schedule ko," Martin bared.

It was last July when reports romantically linking Martin to Aquino came out.

In a previous interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Martin vehemently denied the speculation, saying he considers Aquino as his older sister.

He also said he has high respect for the actress and her family.

Martin, who is known as the "Prince of Indie", is now busy with his upcoming series "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin".

Aquino, meanwhile, became busy producing, shooting and promoting her horror movie "Dalaw" with actor Diether Ocampo.

Kris Aquino Excited for the New Game Show

Actress-host Kris Aquino has unveiled few details of her upcoming game show "The Price is Right", which is set to premiere on February 2011.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the 'Queen of Talk' said she's thrilled to host the game show. She said she finds it more exciting and challenging.

"Bago ako mag-birthday sa February, magsisimula ang 'The Price is Right' kaya abangan niyo 'yon. Kasi for the first time talaga, araw-araw, puwedeng manalo ng brand new car," she said.

The 39-year old actress revealed that major prizes such as a brand new car, a condominium unit and a million pesos are a few of the luxurious 'The Price Is Right' offerings for the Kapamilyas.

When asked what makes her new game show different from previous projects, Aquino replied: "Hindi ko pa talaga alam 'yong feeling kasi pasimula pa lang. But it's a show in the States that I grew up watching when we we're living in the States. It's bringing a new level of excitement kasi I know how much they spent."

Aquino divulged that ABS-CBN has exerted significant efforts in conceptualizing the Philippine version of "The Price Is Right,"

"Alam ko kung gaano kamahal ang binayad ng ABS-CBN para mabili ang "The Price is Right" and alam ko rin na ngayon pa lang ang laki-laki na ng ginastos para pagandahin 'yong set kasi maraming hydraulics and madaming wini-wheel in so it's really such a complicated set-up and I'm really really excited to be doing it," she said.

President Benigno Aquino III's youngest sister, meantime, invited her fans to support her upcoming shows with ABS-CBN and also thanked those who flocked her hit horror movie "Dalaw."

"Ang Tanging Ina" Gets Hot in Box Office Returns After Top Awards

Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last na ‘To” maybe on the verge of overtaking “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” in terms of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) box-office returns in its 4th day of showing.

The movie starring Comedy Queen Ai ai delas Alas earned around P1.5 million more on Tuesday as compared to “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” making the Star Cinema entry the MMFF’s top grosser on Tuesday alone.

Higher earnings were recorded since viewership in various Metro Manila malls increased on Tuesday . This was according to the bookers of Megamall, TriNoma and Greenhills.

According to Ric Camaligan, head of the National Cinema Association of the Philippines, more people flocked to watch the Star Cinema-produced movie after it bagged numerous recognitions in the MMFF awards night on Sunday.

Camaligan also disclosed that the total earnings of the MMFF since the entries' first showing day have reached P256 million already, an amount which is 25% higher as compared to the earnings from last year's festival.

The casts of “Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last na ‘To” and “Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” both held their respective thanksgiving parties due to the success the two movies are enjoying.

Actors Vic Sotto and Bong Revilla celebrated in Quezon City on Wednesday while delas Alas went to the National Children’s Hospital on Thursday where she shared and distributed gifts.

Delas Alas shared to ABS-CBN News that this is her way of thanking the Lord for all the blessing she has been receiving. “Thank you , thank you sa Panginoon sa blessings na ibinibigay niya at naii-share ko sa mga nangangailangan,” she said.

The Comedy Queen also expressed her gratitude to all the people who watched her movie.

“Salamat po sa lahat ng nanood ng Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last na ‘To. Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng naka-appreciate lalong lalo na po sa MMFF jurors sa pagpakapanalo ko bilang best actress, best director kay Direk Wenn, ang dami po naming best. Salamat po at sana tangkilikin niyo pa rin po ang Ang Tanging Ina. Matagal pa po ito,” she said.

Overall, Agimat still holds the number one spot. But box office rankings aside, all the stars who joined the festival are one in hoping for the success of all the MMFF entries
