Crow started her Hollywood career as a back-up dancer for the King of Pop Michael Jackson. And like any other diligent stardom aspirant, Crow eventually made her own debut as a solo performer. She then earned nine Grammy Awards and several recognitions from National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. But before she even reached the peak of her career as a versatile artist, Crow underwent trials which challenged her strength.
Besides being known as a musician and actress, Crow also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition, Performance, and Education. She also received an honorary doctorate from the Southeast Missouri State University.
Among Crow’s remarkable performances were her jamming with Rolling Stones and duets with Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, John Mellencamp, Kid Rock, Michelle Branch, and Sting. She has also performed as backing vocals for Tina Turner and Don Henley. Crow has released seven studio albums, two compilations and a live album, and has contributed to film soundtracks. She has sold 16 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.
