Cristine Reyes Apologized to Sarah Geronimo

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Twitter account ay humingi na ng paumanhin ang sexy actress na si Cristine Reyes sa kanyang maaanghang na patama kay Sarah Geronimo matapos niyang mag-react sa pahayag ng Pop Star Princess sa rehearsal ng ASAP noong nakaraang linggo. Matatandaang nag-react si Cristine sa naunang pahayag ni Sarah na ang mga magagaling sumayaw ay habulin ng mga seksing babae. Boyfriend ngayon ni Cristine si Rayver Cruz na mahusay na dancer at dating na-link kay Sarah.

“Sa mga nasaktan, sa mga nadamay na tao pasensiya na po. Naging emotional at impulsive po ako. Sana maunawaan n’yo po. Maging peaceful na sana ang Pasko nating lahat. Sana wala na pong manggatong at ipagdasal n’yo na lang po na maayos namin (ang away). Kami lang po (ni Sarah) ang dapat mag-ayos nito. Kami lang po.”

Pati nga ang Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta ay nadamay na rin sa paghahangad niyang maayos ang gulo sa pagitan nina Rayver, Cristine at si Sarah na malapit na kaibigan ni Sharon. Inamin ni Sharon na kinausap niya si Rayver sa Christmas Special ng ABS-CBN sa Araneta Coliseum noong nakaraang linggo. “Ang ganda ang pagkakasabi ko. Ayokong pag-usapan ang exact words. Ang objective ko maayos dahil hindi naman kailangang magkaroon ng hidwaan ang tatlo,” kuwento ni Mega.

Nilinaw rin niya na hindi nagsumbong sa kanya si Sarah kundi ang mga taong malalapit kay Sarah. “Alam ng Diyos not once did Sarah call or text or tell me or magparating (about the issue). Not at all.”

Hindi naman nagustuhan ng Megastar ang mga diumano’y pambabatikos sa kanya ng ilan dahil sa pagnanais niyang makatulong. Hindi naman niya sinabi kung ano ang mga pambabatikos na ito. “Nobody has the right to treat me like that, if I did not hurt that person.”

Precious Lara Quigaman in Mutya!

After Bianca Manalo, another beauty queen will be launched by ABS-CBN as lead in her own tv series!

ABS-CBN Airs Grandest Christmas Special

Thousands of loyal Kapamilyas filled the big dome (Araneta Coliseum) recently to watch the much-awaited ABS-CBN Christmas Special, the media giant’s biggest yuletide offering, featuring the best performances of the brightest Kapamilya stars.


Television’s largest Christmas extravaganza airs this weekend, December 19 (9:30 p.m.) for its Part 2 on ABS-CBN.

Dubbed as “Ngayong Pasko, Magniningning ang Pilipino,” the well-attended special gathered today’s most-talked about celebrities, including some acclaimed pillars in the entertainment industry.

In her Christmas message, ABS-CBN president and Chief Operating Officer Charo Santos-Concio extended her gratitude to everyone for being a loyal Kapamilya. The network chief also gave praises to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the real reason for Christmas.

Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano together with divas Zsa Zsa Padilla and Vina Morales, Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo, Pinoy Rock Icon Arnel Pineda, Asia’s Idol Christian Bautista, World Champion Jed Madela, Pop Prince Erik Santos and singing sensations Rhap Salazar and Sheryn Regis, were in their highest spirits in their Christmas medley opening.

Stunning teleserye princesses Empress Schuck, Andi Eigenmann, Erich Gonzales, Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao, Kim Chiu, Jessy Mendiola, and Bea Alonzo sang their primetime theme songs. They all jammed with rocker Rico Blanco.

The charm of the soap opera ladies was followed by the Showtime-inspired stand-up comedy of Vice Ganda. The hit noontime celebrity introduced some of the most humorous numbers from Noah’s Zaijan Jaranilla, PBB sweetheart Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco, Going Bulilits Sharlene San Pedro and Nash Aguas, collaborating with comedians Kitkat, Chokoleit and Pooh.

ASAP Sessionitas, on the other hand went unusual with their classic song numbers. Nina, Richard Poon, Siiti Navarro, Duncan Ramos, MYMP and Aiza Seguerra showcased their ever relaxing vocal prowess.

The crowd became more ecstatic when teleserye love teams Cristine Reyes and Zanjoe Marudo, Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales, Toni Gonzaga and Vhong Navarro, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz, performed their most romantic songs.

Mega daughter KC Concepcion and acoustic heartthrob Sam Milby spearheaded the blazing song/dance numbers of the budding Star Magic artists. KC was also welcomed in the biggest celebrity core group.

Applauses kept on sound especially when Christian Bautista, Robert Seña, Isay Alvarez, Carol Banawa, Billy Crawford, Nikki Gil and Erik Santos sang their own classic rendition of some 2010 hits.

The atmosphere remained heatwarming as Gary V. sang I Will Be Here” and “The Warrior is a Child,” thanking the Lord for everything He has done.

Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kuh Ledesma, and Pokwang, together with Bellestar Dancers, induced everybody’s happy mood with their diva medley number.

High energy was felt when dance superstars Enchong Dee, John Prats, Jhong Hilario, Rayver Cruz, Gab Valenciano, Vhong Navarro, and Gerald Anderson performed the hottest rhythmic moves. Today’s most celebrated Shoutout groups were also seen in their best performing action.

The ultimate Kapamilya Christmas Special also paid tribute to the personalities who have given the country glory and honor this year. Miss Universe 4th runner-up Maria Venus Raj, World Boxing Association (WBA) Interim Bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr., Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda and University of Sto. Tomas Singers, who recently won the Choir of the World-Luciano Pavarotti Grand Prize in the 2010 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, U.K., shone brightly in the night of inspiration.

Gretchen Barretto has also proven her beauty supremacy as she did a very hot sexy musical with Jake Cuenca, Zanjoe Marudo, Jason Abalos, and Derek Ramsey. The audience also sang with timeless hits brought by Hitmakers Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuñiga, Marco Sison, and Rico J Puno.

Star Power girls were the last to enthrall everyone as they sang with the Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

Sharon’s message to the Kapamilya’s prompted all the big stars for an unforgettable finale. All together, they sang “Christmas All Over” the world and ABS-CBN’s remarkable yuletide theme, “Ngayong Pasko Magniningning ang Pilipino.”

Laoag City Gymnastics Group is New Showtime Champion!

Team work, perseverance and determination made it possible for the Laoag City Gymnastics Group to shine as they beat 9 other contenders in "Showtime"’s Season 2 grand finals on Saturday.

The Laoag City Gymnastics Group was named as the new "Showtime" champion after they garnered an average score of 9.86. They brought home a total of P1 million cash prize.

The other groups in the finals received the following average scores:

•Kids @ Trix: 7.9
•89.9 Hoodz: 8.90
•Mama’s Boys: 8.33
•Lal-lo’s Backlight Performers: 9.10

According to a member of the winning group, making it to the finals is already an achievement for them.

“Masayang masaya kami na nakapasok ang grupo namin sa grand finals. Sobra sobra ang blessings na binigay ni Lord sa amin dahil nakapasok kami sa finals,” he said.

Another member said all their hardships during their rehearsals are worth it since being among the finalists is already rewarding.

After the group’s performance, the judges and the Madlang People gave them a standing ovation.

Guest judge Jessa Zaragosa was in awe saying what the group did was breathtaking. “Napaka-breathtaking ng inyong performance. Hindi lang kayo magaling, sobrang entertaining pa 'yung production number na ginawa niyo. Kumpleto, kakaiba, nandiyan ang art at very professional ang dating niyo,” she commented.

Singer Bugoy Drilon, also a guest judge, said he was surprised with the routine the team showed. “Hanep ang katawan nila kung bumali. Grabe nakakagulat 'yung kagalingan na ipinakita niyo sa amin. Hindi kayo nakakasawang panoorin ng mga hurado, ng mga Madlang People at lahat ng mga nanonood sa telebisiyon. Ang ganda ng pinakita niyo,” he said.

Meanwhile, resident judge Vice Ganda could not help but boast of Laoag City Gymnastics Group’s awesome performance. “Napakahusay niyo...world class naman! Wala naman sigurong hindi sasang-ayon kapag sinabi ko na ang mga batang ito ay ipagmamalaki ng Pilipinas sa buong mundo,” he exclaimed.

Jake Cuenca Talks About His Relationship With His Father

During his solo press con for Super Inday and The Golden Bibe, Jake Cuenca recalled how he was able to prove his worth to his father who previously opposed his decision to join showbiz. Jake admitted that he used to have a rebellious streak during his teenage years and his dad didn’t expect that becoming an actor would change Jake for the better. “Hindi kami yung masasabi mong perfect yung relationship bilang mag-ama. Kasi nung mas bata pa ako, wala pa akong trabaho, parang sobrang lost ko nun. Marami akong mga bagay na ‘pag iniisip ko ngayon sana ‘di ko na lang pinasukan. Masyado ako napasama sa mga barka-barkada. Pero mahal na mahal ko barkada ko. Pero nakakatuwa kasi dahil sa showbiz nag-mature ako, nabigyan ako ng direksyon sa buhay at nagkaroon ng priorities. At dahil dun naging maganda relasyon namin ng dad ko. Lagi kami lumalabas talaga to the point na minsan mas madalas ko pa makasama tatay ko kaysa mga kaibigan ko.”

As much as possible, Jake’s father wants him to finish his studies first, but the young action star explained that he’s not yet ready for that added responsibility given the high demands of his line of work. “Definitely tatapusin ko yung pag-aaral kasi pangako ko ‘yan e. Magkaroon lang ako ng konting oras kasi sayang naman e. Pero kasi ang focus ko trabaho muna sa ngayon. Siguro kailangan ko pa ng konting maturity na pagsabayin yung dalawa kasi mahirap magbalanse ng showbiz at pag-aaral. Aminado ako yung ibang artista na hinahangaan ko dahil kinaya nila ng sabay. Pero sa pagkatao ko siguro yun pa ang kailangan kong matutunan. Kasi ‘pag bumalik ako sa school, ayoko naman yung para masabi lang. Gusto ko naman maging magaling na student ‘di ba? Gusto ko masabi at mauwi yung report card na proud din yung loved ones ko sa akin.”

Super Inday and The Golden Bibe happens to be one of the three projects that he was busy with during the last quarter of 2010. Although he’s done a lot of action scenes in the past, Jake claimed that his role as Amazing Jay in this movie is quite an experience for him. “Yung action scenes ko dito kinarir ko talaga. Never ako nag-body double. Ultimo dubbing nung reaction ko sa mga fight scenes na mga eksenang nakabasag ako ng salamin. Kung hindi siguro ako naka napakahirap gawin, ako ang gumawa. Ganon ko talaga kinomit yung sarili ko dito sa proyekto. May costume maaring nasugatan ako. Pero maganda kasi yung quality ng costume at may padding kaya ‘di ako takot na mag-rolling at masapak.”

When asked if he feels pressured knowing that Super Inday and The Golden Bibe is pitted against what seem to be certified blockbuster movies in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, Jake simply replied, “These past few days medyo kabado talaga. Pero nung dinub ko alam kong maganda talaga. Sinu-shoot pa lang namin yung pelikula alam ko na magandang quality talaga yung ginagawa namin. Of course si Marian (Rivera) napakagaling na artista. Si Pokwang the best talaga sa comedy. So ‘pag pinagsama-sama mo lahat ‘yan at binigay din naman talaga namin lahat ng makakaya namin dito, enough na yun. Ang importante lahat masaya at mag-enjoy sa mga pelikulang Pilipino na offer natin sa mga tao ngayong Pasko,” he added.

Erich Gonzales Approves Enchong Dee Dating Other Girls

While Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales are considered one of the hottest love teams in showbiz today, the two have managed to just remain friends in real life. During his contract signing with Star Cinema, Enchong was asked about any development in his relationship with Erich, and he quickly answered, “Walang development kasi noon pa naman sinabi na namin na there’s nothing between us more than friendship. Sa tingin namin hanggang dun na lang ‘yun.”

In fact, Enchong had admitted in his past interviews that he is actually dating someone whose identity he has refused to reveal. “Kapag nakita ninyong may kasama ako sa mall, siya na ‘yun, ha ha ha!,” he joked. Enchong said that Erich knows about this girl and that his ka-love team is very much supportive of their relationship. “She’s very supportive of my love life. Siya pa nga ‘yung madalas magtanong sa akin, ‘O, kamusta na kayo?’”

Stars that are in a successful love team are often forbidden to be linked to other people. But what Enchong considers to be the advantage of his love team with Erich is that since the start, they never led their fans to believe that there is something romantic going on between them in real life. “Siguro ang naging advantage ng love team namin is from the beginning hindi talaga namin na-promote ‘yung love team namin na parang kami talaga ni Erich sa totoong buhay. We have something special, but it’s more of friendship. Kaming dalawa onscreen, pero we are still free to live our own lives sa labas ng trabaho.”

Enchong and Erich currently headline the daily teen variety program ShoutOut. Their last primetime teleserye was the top-rating Magkaribal, and next year they are set to begin production on the ABS-CBN remake of the Mexican telenovela Maria La Del Barrio where they will be joined by their Magkaribal co-star Angel Aquino.

But before becoming busy with work again, Enchong will take a break this Christmas to be with his family. They will be spending the holidays with their relatives in Australia. But before they leave, Enchong said he has to buy gifts for his loved ones. “Kaka-start ko pa lang mamili at mag-wrap ng mga presents for my relatives in Australia. Dun kasi kami magpa-Pasko kasama ‘yung mga kamag-anak namin sa side ng mom ko. Hindi ko rin maasikaso pa sa ngayon ‘yung shopping kasi everyday may trabaho. Minsan inuutos ko na lang, he he he! Pero siyempre kapag mga special people I will really find time na bumili ng gift for them.”

Kathryn Bernardo Overwhelmed With Success of Mara Clara

Kathryn Bernardo is overwhelmed by success of her teleserye Mara Clara. “Sobrang saya po ng pakiramdam siyempre kasi po hindi namin ini-expect na magiging success ito. Sana po magtuloy-tuloy,” she said hopefully. “Thank you po talaga sa mga tao sa pagsuporta nila.”

She also explained that the high ratings of the show is such a priceless gift by itself that she is not keen on getting any present for the holidays. “Wala na akong ireregalo sa sarili ko, basta mage-enjoy na lang ako sa ginagawa ko.” However, she did wish for her career to continue flourishing in the coming year. “’Yung career ko mas gumanda siya sa 2011 tsaka sana huwag magsawa ang tao sa pagsuporta,” she said.

Kathryn also revealed that because of her hectic schedule, she wassa forced to stop her schooling for the meantime. “’Yun po ‘yung problema namin kasi regular schooling po ako sa OB (Montessori) noon pero hindi na namin mapagsabay ngayon dahil palagi akong may taping.” Aside from Mara Clara, Kathryn is also part of the youth-oriented show ShoutOut. “So ‘yun nag-decide po ako na stop muna kasi minsan lang po ‘yung opportunity so grab ko na ‘yung opportunity tapos ‘yung school makakapaghintay naman po siguro.” The 14-year-old actress shared that she is considering undergoing a home-study program next year.

Among the famous young stars today, Kathryn looks up to Kim Chiu the most and added that she also dreams of becoming a primetime princess someday. And if she would be ever identified with a constant leading man, Kathryn said that she wants their team-up to be as successful as the Kim-Gerald Anderson love team.

Kathryn said that while she will be busy this Christmas taping for Mara Clara, she will be spending Christmas Day with her family and relatives. “Wala kaming bakasyon this Christmas. Medyo conflict nga rin po ‘yung schedule ko, eh [pero] ang importante naman po kasama ko ‘yung family sa bahay [at] bonding na lang kami.”

Sarah Geronimo Learned a Big Career Lesson in 2010

Sarah Geronimo revealed that she learned a big lesson in 2010 as far as her career is concerned. The Pop Star Princess received negative feedback from critics because of the unsuccessful short run of her last teleserye, Idol. But the singer explained that what happened to her is not an isolated case. “Sa lahat naman ng career natin may ups and downs,” she justified. She then added that what is important is she learned from her mistake. “Kung anuman ‘yung mga pinagdaanan ko na hindi masyadong maganda ang importante naman natuto ako, natuto ‘yung management (Viva Entertainment) ko ‘di ba? Para sa susunod mas alam na namin kung anong gagawin, mas magiging careful na kami sa mga desisyon na gagawin namin.”

Sarah also confirmed that her movie project with Gerald Anderson will push through next year. The singer related that she has mixed emotions about their highly anticipated team-up. “Siyempre nandun ‘yung excitement, alam naman natin na magaling na aktor si Gerald at nandun din ‘yung kaba, ‘yung tension kasi alam naman natin ang pinagdadaanan niya ngayon,” she said, referring to the controversies that the actor has recently dealt with concerning his personal and professional life.

Sarah added that she already has an idea what their movie will be about, but she has not yet talked to Gerald about it. Aside from the movie, Sarah will also have a major Valentine concert in February 2011 together with Concert King Martin Nievera at the Araneta Coliseum.

On a personal note, Sarah denied claims that she and Matteo Guidicelli are already a couple, and they are supposedly hiding this from the public. “Matagal ko nang hindi nakausap si Matteo through text messaging.” She added that they don’t even get to communicate often.

Sarah laughed when Push.com.ph asked her if she intends on focusing on having a relationship by next year. “Basta darating din ‘yan sa tamang panahon,” she replied.

For Christmas, Sarah shared that she will be going to her hometown in Pampanga to celebrate with her relatives.

Julia Montes Proved to be an Effective Kontrabida!

Julia Montes summarized her year as “happy” and blessed” after she landed a major role in current hit teleserye Mara Clara. When asked what would make her happy this Christmas, the young actress asked for things not for herself but for other people. “For this Christmas bonding time lang with my family sama-sama lang kami sa bahay tapos kain. ‘Yung gift [na gusto ko is] more time lang sa family ko. Pinaka-gift ko na ‘yung bonding time.” she shared. Julia also revealed that she is planning to buy stuff for less fortunate kids.

Julia shared that she is so overwhelmed by the success of Mara Clara that she could not entirely describe her feelings. “Mahirap i-explain pero sobrang saya na hindi mapantayan ng sasabihin kasi sarap ng feeling,” she beamed.

She also related that there have been many people who have been highly affected by her portrayal as the main antagonist in Mara Clara. “Meron na po [nagagalit sa akin], marami na. Pero meron naman nagagalit sa character ni Clara pero kay Julia natutuwa naman po kasi nagagampanan ko daw po nang maayos,” she explained.

While she has not yet experienced facing physical threats from Mara Clara fans, Julia said she won’t take it personally because it would only prove how effective she is as an actress. “Parang compliment pa ‘yon kasi inis sila sa pagganap ko bilang si Clara.”

Julia said that there have been a lot of changes in her life, like being recognized by a lot of people. But she clarified that she isn’t letting her sudden popularity get the best of her. “Wala lang po ginagawa ko lang po ‘yung work ko, yung job ko sa best [na kaya] ko.”
