Goin' Bulilit Goes to Beijing, China

After the exciting “gag” comeback of Goin’ Bulilit in their Beijing, China episode last Sunday, the Bulilits once again showcased their comedic prowess in the much-awaited sequel of their out-of-the country episode.

This Sunday, the ever-humorous Bulilits play as Kung Fu Kids. A “Payabangan ng mga Atleta” segment, magnificently shot in China’s Olympic Village, will also be featured.

In an interview with a Goin’ Bulilit pioneer, Sharlene San Pedro shared “Nu’ng malaman ko na sa China po kami magta-taping, sobrang na-excite po talaga ako. Ang ganda po talaga sa China. Napakalamig po. Siyempre sobrang enjoy ako na makipag-bonding sa iba pang mga Bulilits. Masaya po talaga” Sharlene said.

More surprises are yet to unveil in Going Bulilit this yuletide season. Next year, catch another exciting action treat in Goin’ Bulilit Presents: The Adventures of Juan Kontra.

Rayver Cruz Admits Behind Sarah Geronimo - Cristine Reyes Rift

Actor-dancer Rayver Cruz on Thursday admitted that he is the reason behind the controversial rift involving sultry actress Cristine Reyes and Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the 21-year old actor confessed that he told Reyes about Geronimo's remarks during ASAP XV dress rehearsals.

“Oo, ako naman kasi yung nagsabi talaga kay Cristine and kasi gusto ko lang maging honest sa tao. Sa tingin ko, wala namang mali ‘dun and wala naman akong ginagawang masama,” said Cruz.

Though he refused to give further details, Cruz defended himself, “Sa tingin ko naman kasi ito yung tama kaya ginawa ko. Alam ko na ito yung makakabuti sa lahat.”

When asked about the real score between him and Reyes, Cruz replied, “Actually napakarami ko pong sinagot kay Tito Boy and nahuli niya po ako and para sa akin mas maganda kung abangan niyo na lang po at panoorin sa The Buzz kasi sinagot ko lahat ng tinanong sa akin.”

On Sunday, Reyes took to the microblogging site Twitter to vent her anger against a female “ASAP XV” co-host. Reyes did not reveal her name, but she hinted that the object of her fury is a "drama princess" in the entertainment industry with a "goody image."

Suspicions that she was referring to the Box Office Queen were confirmed after the latter’s personal assistant, Anna Dasig, spoke up to defend the actress-singer.

Also on Twitter, Dasig said Reyes shouldn’t have given meaning to Geronimo’s statement about how a man is always being chased by a sexy woman if he is a good dancer.

Based on the sultry actress's tweets, it was that remark that caught her ire.

Showbiz insiders said Geronimo made the remark during the dress rehearsals for the musical variety show “ASAP XV.” The show's mainstays – John Prats, Gab Valenciano, and Rayver Cruz -- were reportedly rehearsing a dance number.

Reyes, who was once voted as FHM’s sexiest woman, went steady with Cruz.

Cruz was linked to Geronimo, lead star of “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life,” but they both denied any romantic relationship.

Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez Now in Speaking Terms

Singer-actress Toni Gonzaga confirmed that communication lines have opened between her and former co-host Mariel Rodriguez.

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN), Gonzaga shared that she and Rodriguez are on speaking terms again 3 months after their rift was revealed.

Gonzaga said they started communicating after Rodriguez congratulated her for the success of her movie "My Amnesia Girl" with John Lloyd Cruz as her leading man.

"She texted me first. Actually it was a number, then she said that it was her. Siyempre nagulat naman ako na [she texted] after a long time of no communication. Siyempre nawala siya, tapos bumalik siya.

"Oo, shocked talaga ako. 'Yon ang mga bagay, 'yong magagandang surprise for me na gumawa pa siya ng way na bumati, siyempre na-a-appreciate ko," she said.

Gonzaga admitted that she misses the old times with Rodriguez especially since they were close and went through a lot of things together. Both of them hosted "E-live" and "Pinoy Big Brother."

"Ang tagal na din naming magkakasama ever since na mag-ABS kami. Kami na halos talaga, from the highs and the lows, from being single and double, talagang lahat kami ang magkakasama. I guess if you really had that kind of bonding, kapag nawala ay hahanapin din natin 'yon kahit paano," Gonzaga said.

The actress said that despite their rift, she's now willing to let bygones be bygones.

"Ako naman ay hindi nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. Ang lagi ko ngang sinasabi, 'Our heart is like a fertile soil.' So kung magtatanim ako ng galit ay magkakaroon ako ng puno ng hatred in my heart. Papangit ang aura natin. Hindi tayo ngingiti. Mas maganda 'yong lagi kang nakangiti. So ang tinatanim ko lang ay good memories and good vibes para it's a tree of happiness and positivity."

Meanwhile, in a text message sent to SNN, Rodriguez stressed that she will keep loving Gonzaga as a friend.

"Always loved Toni. Will always love her," Rodriguez texted.

Gonzaga had accused Rodriguez of badmouthing her, an allegation the latter vehemently denied.

Report has it that the feud between the two started when Rodriguez's hubby, action star Robin Padilla, cancelled his supposed movie with Gonzaga.

Billy Crawford Gears Up For New Album in France

Billy Crawford is gearing up for his new album which he plans to release abroad next year. “I just finished my next album that I’m launching it in France first. So were going to start there again. So that’s most likely towards the end of Pilipinas Got Talent. I’m going back to France for a little bit lang,” he shared with Push.com.ph. Before coming back to the Philippines in 2008 to host Pinoy Dream Academy’s Uberture, Billy enjoyed major chart success in France and other parts of Europe. The 28-year old also lived in Paris for five years during that time.
Billy admitted he is looking forward to going back to the place which he also considers home. “I miss performing in Europe. I miss the fans. Everywhere you go, it’s different there. Of course, France became a home to me na rin. But I think my heart always belonged here in the Philippines and always ito yung tumatak sa akin and now that I realize that more, now that I’m an adult now, I think the Philippines, I love the Philippines more,” he said.

Billy also shared that aside from performing onstage, he also likes to get involved in other aspects of the music industry, which is why he put up a production company with close friends and fellow artists Jay-R and Kris Lawrence. “I have another company here as well na binuksan namin called 3 Stars. We’re producing and songwriting for others as well,” he shared.

As a judge on the hit Sunday talent search Star Power, Billy is considered by the contestants as one of the people they idolize, because of the humbleness his shows, on- and off-screen. He also had advice for the Star Power hopefuls. “Just don’t stop. Never stop. At the end of the day, you have to understand that when you join a competition, you either win or you lose. Pero when you win, great, but when you lose, that’s when you should start to work harder. Always follow your dreams. Ang masasabi ko lang sa kanila, just continue to do what they do. They’re very talented people and you cannot deny that and they’re blessed enough to be in Miss Sharon’s (Cuneta) show and to be heard and to be seen around the world,” he added.

For the holidays, Billy is just looking forward to downtime with his loved ones here and abroad. “I’ll just be with family and that includes Nikki (Gil) as well, but more so with family. I’ll be here for Christmas Eve and then Christmas Day I’m leaving for the States,” he said.

Ejay Falcon Will be Paired With Empress Schuck on Next Teleserye

After being paired with Queenie Padilla in Momay, Ejay Falcon is looking forward to his team-up with Empress for an upcoming teleserye (tentatively titled Guns and Roses) top-billed by Robin Padilla, Bea Alonzo, and Diether Ocampo. “Una sa lahat, siyempre excited ako kasi napalaking proyekto nito. Big stars ng Kapamilya network ang makakasama ko. Bilang baguhang artista, alam kong marami akong matututunan sa kanila. Ang swerte ko nga kasi makakasama ko ulit si Mr. Robin Padilla na alam niyo naman na idol ko lalo pagdating sa aksyon. Tapos ka-love team ko pa dito si Empress na napakaganda at napakahusay na artista,” said the former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate in an interview.

Another reason why he’s looking forward to working with Empress is because they are good friends. In fact, the young actress was one of the people who acted as mediator when he and Erich Gonzales had a rift last year. “Si Empress sobrang bait niya kasi dati nung may issue kay Erich, tapos buo yung grupo nila na Chiurigogobashu. Kaibigan ko rin siya so nagtetext kami. Sabi niya, ‘O anong nangyayari sa inyo ni Nene?’ Kasi Katorse days yun e. ‘Sana magkaayos na kayo. Hayaan mo gagawan ko ng paraan.’ Yun ang sabi niya, tutulong siya para maayos. Na-appreciate ko naman yun kasi mas close siya kay Erich pero pinapakinggan pa rin niya yung side ko.”

Ejay was also quick to say that his team-up with Empress won’t cause any conflict for him because he’s not romantically involved with anyone at the moment. “Kaya nga sabi ko ngayon wala munang love life kasi alam kong mapa-partner sa iba. Kasi ‘di ba may mga lumalabas na balita na nagde-date na daw kami ni Queenie. Pero ang totoo ayoko pagsabayin ang love life at career kasi ayokong magkaroon ng inggitan, selosan issue. Kaya ngayon maluwag din trabaho ko sa akin kasi wala ako iniisip na iba. Kung sinong leading lady, yun lang kasama ko,” he added.

Anne Curtis on Green Rose

All set to star in the Philippine remake of the hit Korean drama Green Rose, Anne Curtis is looking forward to another busy year in 2011. In the series, Anne will be paired with dashing leading men Jericho Rosales and Jake Cuenca. Anne admitted that the reason why her schedule has been packed lately has mostly been because they have been prepping for the upcoming primetime drama. “I’m just hoping na matutuwa rin yung mga viewers sa pinaghirapan naming gawin so far. That’s why minsan absent ako sa Showtime, because I have to give way for taping. Bonggang-bongga talaga ito, as in! Work lang ng work. Basta abangan niyo na lang, coming soon,” she shared.

With all the preparations, Anne admitted that she has yet to watch the original series, which featured Korean stars Go Soo, Lee Da Hae, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Kim Suh Hyung. “I watched it a little lang. Nakakainis nga eh kasi siyempre sobra kaming excited lahat. Siguro sa taping na lang namin ma-pri-preview,” she added. Anne says that viewers will definitely see a different side of her when they watch Green Rose. “I guess the good thing about Showtime is that people get to see who I am talaga in real life. It’s totally different from the character I play in this drama na mahinhin. Hindi talaga ako ganun (laughs),” she admitted.

ABS-CBN Asks CA Judge to Inhibit on ABS-CBN Case Against Willie Revillame

ABS-CBN is asking a Court of Appeals justice to inhibit himself from hearing a petition filed by TV5 on the copyright infringement case against the station and its host, Willie Revillame.

Last December 6, TV5 asked the appellate court to issue a temporary restraining order to prevent Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 66 Presiding Judge Joselito Villarosa from hearing the case, because of his alleged bias for ABS-CBN.

Today, ABS-CBN’s lawyers filed an urgent motion asking Court of Appeals Justice Franchito Diamante to inhibit himself from the case, since he is related to one of the associates in the law firm that represents the network.

ABS-CBN said Justice Diamante is mandatorily required to inhibit himself from participating in the case because he is related by consanguinity to the fourth degree to Atty. Cecilia Natividad, one of the lawyers at Villaraza, Cruz, Marcelo And Angangco.
