KC Concepcion Excited for the Parents Sharon and Gabby Movie

KC Concepcion cannot hide her excitement over the brewing reunion movie of her parents, Sharon and Gabby.

“I know it will make both of them happy and it’s something they’ve both been [waiting for]...it’s a matter of when and how,” she said.

She, however, begged off to do a cameo role for the film. “No. Una sa lahat nako-kornihan ako. Parang masyado nang naging…ayaw kong ibenta ‘yung life namin,” she said.

“I think it’s okay na iwanan na silang 2 na mag-work together and parang ganun naman sanay naman ang mga tao na makita silang 2 lang,” she added.

KC Concepcion Willing to Reconcile With Mariel Rodriguez

Following the declarations of TV hosts Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez that they are willing to kiss and make up, actress KC Concepcion said she is also open to patch things up between her and Rodriguez.

In an interview with “E-Live” on Saturday, Concepcion declared that anyone who wants to say something behind her back must also be willing to tell her that same thing upfront. She, however, emphasized that she is not referring solely to Rodriguez who was reported to have spoken ill of Concepcion.

Rodriguez allegedly claimed that the Concepcion, who used to host the now defunct show “Simply KC,” was only given her own morning program on ABS-CBN because she is the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

Conception, however, stressed that she has chosen to believe Rodriguez who denied making scathing remarks against anyone.

“Nagkaintindihan kami sa part na ‘yon. You know, if she’s saying na wala siyang sinabi, then all's good with me,” she said. "I’m not saying na sinabi niya (Rodriguez) [ang mga yun]."

Concepcion clarified that she and Rodriguez are friends but were not as close as compared to the friendship Rodriguez shared with Gonzaga or another co-host, Luis Manzano.

"Again, anyone sa showbiz, kung mayroon kayong gustong sabihin tungkol sa akin or kung mayroon kayong gustong sabihin behind my back, make sure na kaya niyong sabihin sa harap ko,” Concepcion said.

Christian Bautista: The Next Jose Mari Chan

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista is overwhelmed to be called the "next Jose Mari Chan."

In an interview with DZMM's "Todo-Todo, Walang Preno" on Tuesday, Bautista said he is happy over the outpouring support given by the legendary singer-composer.

"Idol na idol ko 'yun. I am so happy na pinayagan niya ako to remake a lot of his love songs a few months ago," said Bautista.

Last year, the balladeer released his first album with Universal Records, carrying the greatest hits of Chan like "Beautiful Girl", "Tell Me Your Name" and "Please Be Careful With My Heart."

"I've always dreamed of singing Jose Mari Chan's songs," he added.

Bautista also shared that he and Chan's daughter, Lisa, made a special duet on his Christmas album, "A Wonderful Christmas". The song was also written by Chan's son, Michael.

Reality Shows Lined Up for 2011 on ABS-CBN

Kasama rin sa mga programang naka-lineup sa ABS-CBN next year ang apat na franchise reality-game shows.

Una na rito ang fourth season ng Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), ang reality show mula sa Endemol. Sa PBB nagmula ang ilan sa pinakamalalaking bituin ngayon ng ABS-CBN gaya nina Sam Milby, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, at Zanjoe Marudo.

Matagal nang nababalita ang Pinoy Big Loser, ang reality show para sa mga "heavyweights" kunsaan tutulungan ng programa ang mga contestant na magbawas ng timbang at magkaroon ng kumpiyansa sa kanilang sarili. Sa wakas ay matutuloy na itong ipalabas sa susunod na taon.

Ang Pinoy Big Loser ay ihu-host ng Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta.

Aabangan din ng marami ang competitive cooking game show na Junior Master Chef, kunsaan magiging tampok ang mga batang nangangarap na maging chef.

Ang Junior Master Chef ay ihu-host ng Teleserye Queen na si Judy Ann Santos. Ito ang unang regular show niya pagkatapos niyang magsilang sa anak nila ni Ryan Agoncillo na si Lucho.

Magkakaroon na rin ng Philippine version ang longest-running game show sa U.S., ang The Price Is Right, mula sa FremantleMedia. Nagsimula noong 1956, 54 years nang umeere sa U.S. ang show na ito. Ang mga naging host nito ay sina Bill Cullen, Bob Barker, at ang current host nito na si Drew Carrey.

Dito sa Pilipinas, ang maghahatid ng papremyo at saya sa ating mga kababayan ay si Kris Aquino.

Kumpirmadong Kapamilya na ang StarStruck 4 Ultimate Sweetheart na si Jewel Mische.

Matagal-tagal na ring usap-usapan ang tungkol sa paglipat ni Jewel mula sa GMA-7 papunta sa ABS-CBN, bagamat wala pang opisyal na pahayag mula sa young actress at maging sa Star Magic, kung saan nabalitang pumirma siya ng kontrata.

Kagabi, December 3, sa Christmas party ng ABS-CBN para sa entertainment press na ginanap sa Dolphy Theater, pormal nang inanunsiyo ang magiging unang proyekto ni Jewel bilang isang Kapamilya—ang action series na Bagwis.

Si Jewel ang magiging leading lady ng isa sa top male stars ngayon ng ABS-CBN—si Gerald Anderson.

Isa ang Bagwis sa mga malalaking shows ng ABS-CBN sa first quarter ng 2011, bagamat ilan sa mga ito ay magsisimula na bago matapos ang 2010.

Rafael Rosell on Denise Laurel's Pregnancy Rumors

Currently starring in the primetime drama series Kristine, Rafael Rosell cleared up rumors about onscreen partner Denise Laurel’s reported pregnancy. Rafael, who is also close friends with the actress, said he is in no position to talk about the said issue. “I was hearing rumors din pero ako naman kasi, sa mga kaibigan ko, unless I hear the rumors coming straight from them talaga, hindi muna ako naniniwala. So I heard about it from Twitter and from other people, but I still haven’t heard anything from Denise so I don’t want to confirm anything,” he said. The half-Pinoy, half-Norwegian actor also denied being Denise’s real life partner after reading about the issue on Twitter. “Nakalagay dun kung ako daw yung tatay nung baby na pinagbubuntis niya. Ang sa akin, the answer is no. Any further questions should be directed to Denise,” he stressed during the presscon for his upcoming MMFF movie Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat: Last Na ‘To which was held at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater on December 2. Rafael also denied rumors saying he had a model girlfriend who allegedly broke up with him after finding out about Denise’s condition. He clarified that he is currently single.

Rafael said he has been in touch with Denise after she took a leave from the show, which further fueled rumors about her condition. “We’ve been texting. I’ve been asking how she is. Okay naman. But I haven’t been able to catch up with her lately kasi dahil puro taping, puro trabaho. She’s going through her own personal journey din. Pero never ko siya nakita nagsuka, never ko rin nakita yung mga iba’t ibang signs. Hindi ko rin masyado alam yung mga signs, ang alam ko lang yung sumusuka eh. And never ko naman siya nakitang nagsuka so whether the rumors are true or not, hindi ko kaya i-confirm,” he added. Rafael also said that to his knowledge, Denise has not been permanently written out of the show. “I think she is still part of the show. I’m going to talk to the management after actually. Pahinga lang muna siguro with what she’s going through,” he said. Even though he is not aware whom Denise is dating, Rafael said that was good for their love team. “I think we have our own someone special naman pero nung pinag-usapan namin ni Denise, something intimate na super serious, hindi niya nabanggit sa akin. Payo ko na rin sa kanya na huwag muna ibanggit sa akin if ever may personal relationship siya na sobrang intimate para hindi masyado maapektuhan yung chemistry namin sa screen,” he explained.

Rafael was also quick to defend Denise on rumors saying she was axed from the show because she was becoming difficult to work with on the set. “I think lahat naman ng artista may pinag-dadaanan naman na mood na ganun pag sobrang puyat na, ‘pag sobrang nginangarag tapos hindi pa ready. I think it’s just a natural reaction for anybody ‘pag sobrang harassed ka. Parang in terms of attitude, wala namang attitude si Denise. Lahat kami may ganun pag umaga talaga, ‘pag sobrang puyat. Minsan pipiliin ko na lang matulog pag nagbre-breakfast sila. Yung mga ganung simpleng bagay lang. Pero yung super attitude, wala naman sa set na ganun,” he said.
