Did Piolo Pascual Confront Sam Milby Because of KC Concepcion?

Ngayong marami na ang nakaka-alam sa kakaibang closeness nina KC Concepcion at Sam Milby bilang friends, sunod-sunod na naglabasan ang issues na diumano, pinagseselosan ni Piolo Pascual ang closeness ng dalawa. At umabot pa diumano ito sa point na kinausap ni Piolo si Sam para layuan si KC.

Pero ayon mismo kay Sam, walang katotohanan ang balitang ito. “Hindi eh, alam ni Kuya (Piolo, as he is fondly called by younger Star Magic artists) na friends lang kami. He’s known that for a long time. Even before Lovers in Paris, we’re already good friends,” Sam explains.

“And hindi n’ya ko kinausap, that people were asking or thinking na kinakausap niya ibang guys, he never talked to me about it. I’m sure he knows na di niya kailangan. He knows that we’re just friends,” dagdag pa ng aktor sa usaping kinakausap daw ni Piolo ang mga lalakeng sumusubok makipaglapit kay KC.
Sa kabila ng paglabas ng issueng ito between them, hindi naman daw naa-apektuhan ang magandang friendship nila ni Piolo. “He’s like my kuya, my big brother. If I need advice naman, nandon sya.” Natural lang naman daw kasi na ma-intriga silang may selosan, dahil ngayon lang nalaman ng publiko kung gaano sila ka-close ni KC, na hanggang ngayon ay sinasabing espesyal na babae sa buhay ni Piolo.

Kung meron man daw sure sa ngayon, yun ay ang pagiging single ni Sam. “Yun din dahil single na single ako I’m very single. So single ladies… (laughs) joke lang!”

Kim Chiu Happy for Gerald Anderson's Award

Kim Chiu was very happy when she learned that Gerald Anderson dedicated his Best Single Performance by an Actor award from the PMPC Star Awards for TV to her. In his acceptance speech, Gerald said Kim played a big part in his success and journey as an actor. Kim and Gerald have been a love team for the past four years. Kim said about Gerald’s win, “Napakasaya ko para sa kanya. Deserving talaga siyang manalo ng award para dun kasi sobra ang hirap na pinagdaanan niya para magampanan nang mahusay ‘yung role.”

Gerald’s victory was for his performance as a young man stricken with Tourette Syndrome in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. When Gerald was still preparing for his award-winning role, Kim witnessed how he made all the possible preparations for his role. “Grabe talaga rin kasi siya magmahal ng trabaho. Nagre-research talaga siya para sa character niya. Lalo na dun sa episode niya sa MMK. Ang dami niyang binasang article tungkol dun sa Tourette Syndrome. Naalala ko na naikwento pa niya sa akin na ang dami niyang pinanood na movies para magkaroon siya ng idea kung paano iarte ‘yung character.”

Kim was also nominated in the last PMPC Star Awards for TV in the Best Drama Series Actress category for the teleserye Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo. (The trophy eventually went to Maricel Soriano for Florinda.) Kim confessed that upon learning who her fellow nominees were, she no longer expected to win. “Mukhang wala naman talaga akong laban sa mga ibang nominees, ha ha ha!” Nevertheless, she expressed her gratitude to the PMPC for the nomination. “Pero masaya ako na na-nominate ako. At least nakilala ‘yung pag-arte ko and naihilera ako sa mga magagaling talaga.”

The 20-year-old Fil-Chinese beauty’s first acting award was as Best Actress for Tayong Dalawa, given by the USTV Awards. Knowing that acting is truly her passion, Kim admitted that she also looks forward to winning another award. “Sana magkaroon din ako nun. Pangarap ko rin naman talagang magka-award. ‘Yun para sa akin ang magiging recognition sa lahat ng paghihirap ko sa acting. Gusto ko rin makilala ‘yung trabaho.”

Fans of Kim are about to see her versatility as an actress as she top-bills the next Your Song Presents drama anthology beginning this December.

Andi Eigenmann Pairs Up With Enchong Dee on Your Song

For the first time on Philippine television, the Heiress of Drama, Andi Eigenmann, is teamed up with champion swimmer-turned-actor Enchong Dee via Your Song this Sunday on ABS-CBN.

“Ang ganda ng rehistro nilang dalawa sa camera. Malakas ang dating at hindi maikakaila ang chemistry ni Andi and Enchong. Perhaps this could be the start of more projects together, hindi ba? Who knows. Magaling sila pareho eh,” Francis Pasion shared, director of this Sunday’s Your Song.

Delivered to the viewers in a light manner, the story of the upcoming Your Song episode highlights the importance of education. In an interview, Andi gave her insight on how important for her education is, “Importante na makapag-aral ang kabataan. ‘Yun kasi ang isang bagay na hindi mananakaw sayo. Kaya ako, finishing my studies is always part of my plan.”

Piolo Pascual and Kim Chiu in a Star Cinema Movie!

If there are plans that Gerald Anderson will be paired with Sarah Geronimo in a movie, there are also plans to pair Kim Chiu with Piolo Pascual. Reports say that the movie will be slated this February and will be directed by Malu Sevilla.

Kapamilya Snapshots: Coco Martin on Noy's US Premiere

Coco Martin is one of the hottest stars in the Philippines today. He has won multiple awards and is in the running for an Academy Award.

Fans know Martin as the “Philippines' Indie Film Prince.” For the actor, he’s just trying to do his job.

He explained: “I never imagined this. I just wanted to work and maybe learn some more, maybe become visible. I think of this as a blessing.”

Despite his rising stardom, Martin has a reputation for being low key and humble.

“I had good training doing indies. I was taught to treat it as a job and to be professional,” he explained.

His latest ABS-CBN teleserye “Idol” was abruptly canceled in late October. Martin said he can’t wait to work again with co-star Sam Milby in the future, and said he has no regrets about the show’s cancellation.

“It ended quickly, but there’s always something to replace it. But things happen for a reason. I’m happy because I’ve got a project and a movie premiere next year,” he said.

In his next movie project, Martin will team up with French actress Isabelle Huppert. The film which will be about a Mindanao hostage crisis. It will reunite him with award-winning Cannes director, Brillante Mendoza.

For now, Martin is on a mission for potentially his biggest award ever. “Noy” which he starred in, is the Philippines' Oscar entry in the Foreign Language Film category.

The film is produced by Julie Ann Benitez and Rondel Lindayag, directed by Dondon Santos and released by ABS-CBN's Star Cinema.

Martin asks his supporters in the Philippines to help him by praying that “Noy” wins an Oscar.

Dyan Castillejo Joins Vicki Belo on Salamat Dok

Newscaster and TV host Dyan Castillejo joins Dr. Vicki Belo in this Sunday’s live edition of Salamat Dok, November 21, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on ABS-CBN.

Dyan will talk about anti-aging and rejuvenating procedures she did with the Belo clinic like ulthera, a revolutionary skin tightening machine that is considered a non-surgical facelift.

She will also discuss botox, a popular and painless non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases and crow’s feet.

The show will also feature other anti-aging facial procedures like PRP (platelet rich plasma) filler to improve deep wrinkles and add volume to the sunken areas of the face, resulting to a fresher, smoother and younger look.

“Salamat Dok” provides information on medical concerns, with free on-air consultation with the guest physician. Every third Sunday of the month, Dr. Belo guests in the program to discuss the newest procedures being offered by the Belo Medical Group. Bernadette Sembrano hosts.

Toni Gonzaga Happy for the Upcoming Bea Alonzo - Robin Padilla Teleserye

Actress-host Toni Gonzaga shared on Thursday her happiness for co-Kapamilya star Bea Alonzo, who is now set to do a television series with action star Robin Padilla.

Gonzaga spoke about the new project months after the action star cancelled a movie project with her.

"Lahat tayo talaga ay may kanya-kanyang nakalatag na proyekto it just happened na tumanggi si Robin 'yong sa akin. So, wala tayong magagawa. I think iyon yata ang gusto niya (iyong with Bea)," Gonzaga said.

Gonzaga, who never divulged the reason behind the movies cancellation, said that she is happy for Alonzo, who just finished the hit series "Magkaribal."

"I'm happy for Bea and she deserves it dahil napakahusay ni Bea and I'm sure tatangkilikin 'yon ng Kapamilya natin dahil unang tambalan nila," she said.

Gonzaga stressed that after what happened, she has no ill-feelings against Padilla, who is now married to her former showbiz friend Mariel Rodriguez.

“Matagal na kasing tapos ‘yon. Kaysa isipin ko ‘yon mas isipin ko na lang na maging grateful na lang ako dahil may bagong blessing,” Gonzaga said.

Asked if Padilla needed to apologize to her, Gonzaga replied: "Hindi na din naman ako humingi kasi okay na ako. Naiintindihan ko naman hindi na tayo bago sa industriya para magdadamdam or magulat sa mga ganyang bagay, malawak ang pang-unawa natin so, wala akong sama ng loob kay Mr. Robin Padilla."

Report has it that Rodriguez was the reason behind the movie's cancellation.

But in a previous interview, Rodriguez debunked the report. She even said that it is not fair to blame her because she has nothing to do with the supposed film.

Report also has it that Padilla’s upcoming sitcom with Rodriguez is the reason why the film was cancelled.

Gonzaga currently has an upcoming movie with box-office king John Lloyd Cruz. This is the first time Cruz and Gonzaga will team up in a movie. The film titled “My Amnesia Girl” is expected to be a box-office hit as it will showcase their unique and warm on-screen chemistry.
