Maja Salvador's Blossoming Career

Actress Maja Salvador cannot be any more thankful now that she is receiving a lot of blessings.

After the success of “Impostor” and “Inday sa Balitaw,” Salvador is now doing a movie titled "Father Jejemon" with Comedy King Dolphy.

Dolphy’s film is one of the entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival in December of this year.

She said she is very fortunate to have been granted an opportunity to work with Dolphy. Salvador revealed she always gets "starstruck" during their shootings.

“Kasali po ako sa movie ni Mr. Dolphy. Father Jejemon, kasali siya sa Metro Manila Film Fest. Kung dati napapanood ko lang siya, ngayon kapag nagte-take kami tapos nakikita ko iyong mga Mr. Dolphy moves, kung paano siya magpatawa, nasa-starstruck ako. Talagang napakaswerte ko na nakasama po ako sa movie ni Mr. Dolphy,” she said.

Aside from her career, Salvador is also rumored to have a blossoming love life.

In a recent press conference, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino could not contain herself and revealed that Matteo Guidicelli is courting Salvador.

Reports said Guidicelli gave Salvador a box of peanuts. It would be recalled that Guidicelli was Salvador’s date during this year's Star Magic Ball. He was also seen during Salvador’s birthday dinner

SMART Alliance Pitch Promo

Top networks from five Southeast Asian countries joined forces to launch its first regional contest dubbed as the SMART Alliance Pitch.

Members of the SMART Alliance namely ABS-CBN (Philippines), BBTV (Thailand), Media Nusantra Citra (Indonesia), Media Prima (Malaysia), and MediaCorp (Singapore), organized the SMART Alliance Pitch competition to search for a winning television programme idea from the general public.

Ideas are invited for television entertainment across various genres like variety shows, game shows, reality shows and so on.

Shortlisted finalists will be invited for a face-to-face pitch in Singapore with judges comprising of media and broadcasting veterans from the five leading broadcasters in the region.

The winning pitch for the entertainment programme or format will stand to win US$15,000 cash and the idea will be made into a television programme to air in the SMART Alliance.

The much awaited ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2010 Video will be released before the end of the month. It was entitled "Ngayong Pasko Magniningning ang Pilipino". The Christmas Station ID 2010 was attended by popular ABS-CBN actors and actresses.

Aside from Daphne, also included as “Live Curious” ambassadors are filmmaker and writer Joey Reyes, marketing executive Francis Flores, advertising executive Norman Agatep, Rock Ed Philippines Founder Gang Badoy, science writer and The Mind Museum curator Maribel Garcia, WWF-Philippines CEO Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan, educational media producer Mitzi Borromeo, and social ecopreneur Bryan Benitez McClelland.

“We chose to present our ‘Live Curious’ ambassadors through a photo exhibit to promote inquisitiveness as a way of life and give our campaign a local face that Filipinos can relate or identify with,” said Jude Turcuato, FOX International Channels Territory Director.

“This Live Curious photo exhibit is not just a collection of the curiosities of our local ambassadors, it also represents the myriad of curiosities that millions of ordinary Filipinos have,” Turcuato said.

In partnership with fashion and conceptual photographer Niccolo Cosme, the Makeup Forum, the Ayala Malls and The Mind Museum, the “Live Curious” photo exhibit will also be on display at Trinoma Mall (October 21-24), and Ayala Center Cebu (November 4-7), Bonifacio High Street (November 13-14).

“As much as we want to prolong the show but due to constraints in production, schedules & difficulty in daily tapings, Idol will not able to fulfill its 10-13 week term on air.
