Metro Magazine on IPad

METRO digital version (iPad edition) is currently a top download on the App Store.

Metro Magazine, the premier fashion magazine in the Philippines from ABS CBN Publishing, marks another first as it launches its iPad edition early this month. It is the first Philippine magazine available on the iPad.

The Metro iPad edition is also loaded with special features including behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the shoots, celebrity interviews and testimonials – that are not available in the magazine version. It takes advantage of the iPad’s ease of use and excellent screen resolution to enhance the reader’s Metro experience. To get a copy of Metro on the iPad, just log on to iTunes, go to the App Store and search for Metro Magazine.

Currently a free download, the Metro iPad edition features this month’s Celebrity issue which highlights 19 of the biggest stars of today. Gracing the cover are the most beautiful actresses in the country – Kim Chiu, Kristine Hermosa, Angelica Panganiban and Bea Alonzo, to name a few. A-Pop Performs Aja Asianovela!

ABS-CBN launches its newest Asianovelas via a music video performed by kapamilya boyband, A-Pop.

The second half of 2010 gets even more exciting as ABS-CBN officially unveiled its upcoming Asianovela offerings recently through a music video and theme song dubbed as “Aja Asianovela!” sung by Sam Concepcion, Jaco Benin, Young JV, and Nel Gomez or also known as A-Pop.

As its premiere offering, ABS-CBN is set to launch the much-awaited hit Korean idol drama “He’s Beautiful” on Monday (Aug 16) before “Momay.” Watch out for these must see shows only in the first and true home of Asianovelas, ABS-CBN. Also, don’t miss A-Pop as they perform “Aja Asianovela” live on “ASAP XV” this Sunday (Aug 8).

Police Using Network Wars on Ivan Padilla Case

Patuloy na umiinit ang isyu kaugnay sa pagkamatay ng hinihinalang carnapping syndicate leader na si Ivan Padilla. Kanina sa isang panayam sa GMA channel 7, sinabi ni Police Superintendent Maristelo Manalo ng NCRPO na kaya hindi agad nadala sa ospital si Padilla ay dahil sa pagpupumilit ng ABS-CBN na makunan ng video ang suspek.

But the ABS-CBN cameraman told that Manalo himself ask them to have an interview with the dying Ivan Padilla. And they didn't obstruct the police on sending Padilla to the hospital.

The police are using now network wars to delineate the issue on the supposed Ivan Padilla shootout. And knowing GMA 7, with reports about the police and ABS-CBN like the Ted Failon case before, they are so bias.

Atom Araullo, Cutest Newsman in the Philippines

An online magazine featured 4 males from the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs team in its 10 cutest newsmen in the Philippines list.

Topping the list of Spot.ph is TV Patrol reporter and Umagang Kay Ganda host Atom Araullo, who was dubbed as the "prettiest newsman on national TV" for his lean frame, mestizo features and boyish charm
"Atom Araullo has a face that could convince young girls to be more responsible citizens -- as soon as they stop gushing over how cute he is," the website read.

Not only is he cute, he is also athletic and smart, Spot.ph noted. Araullo is an Applied Physics graduate of the University of the Philippines, where he is a well-known activist.

He's also a champion triathlete and trained in soccer, tennis, volleyball, taekwondo, platform diving, mountaineering and underwater diving.

"Indeed, it's a bonus that he's brainy. Because, really, all he has to do to melt our hearts is to go on air. This Atom is certainly the bomb!" Spot.ph said.

Landing on the third spot is Alex Santos, who is a regular on TV Patrol's weekend edition as well as morning show Umagang Kay Ganda. Despite his "salt-and-pepper" hair, Spot.ph said Santos retains his "boy-next-door" appeal.

"Watching him deliver the news on TV Patrol's weekend edition is a pleasant experience -- even if he's dishing out daunting facts...He makes the news more attractive," the website read.

Also on the list are ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) hosts TJ Manotoc and Paolo Abrera, who ranked 7th and 8th, respectively.

Spot.ph said it "can't point a finger" on their appeal, but found both men sexy nonetheless.

The long wait is over! Asianovelas are back on its True Home. The group A-Pop, composed of Sam Concepcion, Jaco Benin, Nel Gomez andYoung JV, is singing "Aja! Asianovela", the official theme song for the collective Asianovelas coming very soon on ABS-CBN.
